It is not attached to the oven. It goes around the face, and it appears that is fastened to the opening surface.

what is inside demenshion of the trim frame

The inside dimensions are 12-1/4" x 20-15/16".

For those with microwaves under the counter, how is having to stoop over to get your food? Wishing for a microwave drawer? Feedback please?

No different then stopping to open an oven door under a range. There are many reasons i opted to place it under counter: 1) Easier for kids to reach 2) Safer in handling hot foods 3) Easier height to view and clean 4) Upper cabinets are usually 12” and I don’t like the look of extended microwave shelves. Base cabinets will accommodate small to full size microwaves 5) Can place it in a kitchen island
