My Treasury of Bedtime Tales Hardcover – January 1, 2011

Bought this for my almost 2 year old daughter... bright, colorful illustrations. She loves pointing at things she recognizes as she flips through the book. The stories are too long to last her attention span at this age, but since she loves books, I am sure that she will eventually "grow into" them. I just do "picture stories" at this point... point to the picture and tell her what is happening in that picture... build a short enough story to last her attention span. It is totally worth the purchase.

I love these books for my daughter. Relatively short (5-10 minute stories). Some are not entirely true to the original fairy tails but still very cute. They make great gifts as well.

My 5 year old loves these stories. They are long; which is perfect for her age...but this is not a book for toddlers (although their nursery rhyme treasury is great for younger kids!). The artwork is gorgeous!The only reason I knocked a star off is because we wanted to read these BEDTIME tales before bed...my daughter finds them too scary (wolves, robbers, etc). The stories are really good though, and we like that they aren't the Disney versions...but I would not suggest this as a book to read at bedtime.I don't think the product description lists the stories that are included...so here they are:Puss in BootsThe Little MermaidThe Valiant TailorAladdinTom ThumbSnow White and the Seven DwarfsThe Musicians of BremenBeauty and the Beast

Again, this book is so wonderful and beautifully illustrated! We enjoy reading it to our newborn son. A true treasure!
