John Frieda Volume Lift Air Whipped Foam, Volumizing Hair Mousse with Air-Silk Technology for Fine or Flat Hair, Adds Lasting Body and Fullness with flexibile Hold, 7.5 Oz

This product works very well in adding volume and body to my hair. It pumps out of the container into the consistency of foam; much like shaving cream. When applied to damp hair and then followed with blow drying, it leaves no sticky, tacky, stiff feeling or dried looking residue. After blow drying and flat ironing my hair was left very soft with plenty of volume and body. My hair is about 6 inches. I use a small palmful. The first time I used this product, I applied a little to my dried and already styled hair. I got more volume, but in that case, my hair felt slightly stiff. Similar to the feel after using a good hair spray. My hair is relaxed. It didn't revert when applied to dry hair; however, it works best when used as directed....applying to freshly shampooed and conditoned hair that is damp and following with blow drying. I've found the John Frieda works better than Nexxus Volumizer for adding fullness and body to the hair. Frieda also sells a " root booster". It's only applied to the roots. The "boost" lasts all day. Generally, I use them separately, but if I want a really full looking hairstyle, I'll use them together. With the John Frieda Luxurious products, limp hair will look fuller and thicker. You don't have to settle for limp hair if that's not wanted. These products deliver. I'm happy because they're inexpensive, too. Much less than most other salon products.

Fanatic mousse, works great, not sticky. Taking off 1 star for the nozzle/bottle, because I have repeatedly had an issue with this for years with this product. Sometimes it decides it doesn't want to work properly, and sometimes no matter what you do to clean it out/try to get out to work, sometimes you just can't get it to function. I've thrown a lot of bottles of this away over the years - with varying amounts of product still left - because of this issue. But I still love the actual product; they just need to fix it so the bottle functions to the last bit of product!

The best "mousse" for my very fine hair. Adds fullness, body & does not make my hair oily. I use a curling iron and the curl / waves last all thru the day or night.

Average product, not worth the price!

Bought this to use on my daughter's fine hair. I've used other items from this brand and have been happy with it, so I decided to give this a try. I find that it helps give her hair volume and makes it easier to style. It's nice & airy. It sprays nicely and doesn't turn to liquid too quickly. It smells nice but not too perfumee. It doesn't make her hair greasy, which says a lot for a teenagers hair (lol). I will say it's a little pricier than some others, but again it does the job it's meant to do.

So I have been buying this mousse for several years now. And I always buy a 2 or 3 pack from Amazon. However, the last few orders I have placed, the mousse mixture goes bad HALF WAY through using the bottle. This mousse is not cheap, compared to the other brands, so having to toss a bottle that's almost half full is just ridiculous. If you have used this brand and this specific model for a while, I'm guessing you have had the same experience. Usually, when you invert the bottle and dispense the mousse, it's a very nice airy blob, which is perfect for touching through thin hair (which is my case and why I pay the price for this stuff). It works wonders on thin hair, as it doesn't weight things down. However, the last 2-3 orders I have placed, 1 of the two bottles goes flat. What I mean by flat, is when I dispense the mouuse, it's not that nice full foam, it's just like a soupy liquid. Which is completely useless and can't be used at all. So I end up tossing the bottle. Unfortunately, that means I have tossed about 3 or 4 of these bottles when they are still half full. Another issue with this, is the cheap plastic top button dispenser. If you accidently drop this thing, it seems to always fall head first and it will snap off the dispenser button. Then it's toast. There is no real way to use it, as it won't sit back on the top to dispense the foam. I don't know if it's just me, but I didn't have this problem with the mousse until about the last year. Perhaps there is some issue with something they changed in the formula or the way they add in the compressed air. I'm going to have to start looking for an alternative.

As my previous mousse had been discontinued, have tried several before finally finding this mousse which is light and only need a small amount to achieve the volume for my fine hair without spending a fortune. Extremely happy. Thank you

I have used many volume boosters and this is number 1. It doesnt leave any cast , doesnt give rock hard curls , doesnt have a weird smell , it just give a full volume without anything to complain about. Love this
