Seriously improved my product photography
Before I bought these softbox lights, I was using window lighting for my product photography and was frustrated. I would have to wait for certain times of day to take photos so that the light was entering the window the way I wanted, and those times of day were always changing with the season. My photos were blurry because I was having to set slower shutter speeds to get the effect I wanted. It was very hard to get uniform photos because the light was so changeable. I spent a long time in post processing (Lightroom Classic and Photoshop) to get an accurate color match. Now, I am able to have consistent, controllable light whenever I need it, and from two sources, which means I can control the shadows if needed. I usually just use one light and a white bounce card because the softbox does such a good job. I don't need to worry about any light reflections because of the diffuser screen. The bulbs included are super powerful. If I could change one thing, it would be the ability to control the brightness of the lights, but that's a tiny thing. It's easy enough to get the effect I want by changing the distance between the light and the subject. I have also found these to be endlessly useful in social media marketing videos. It's much easier to make tiktoks/reels when you have a big source of good light! And since I wear glasses I like that I don't get the circular ring light reflection I used to spend so much time avoiding. Even if the softbox is reflected in my glasses, it looks much more natural, similar to a window if you're not paying attention. These are much more powerful than a ring light as well, which means less work setting things up precisely to get the ring light close enough. I haven't pulled out my old ring light since I got these and have been making more content because it's so much easier now.

It's the bulb RaLeno uses that makes a major difference compared to similar low cost softboxes
These stands and softboxes from RaLeno appear identical to other companies low cost 800 watt softbox kits that have single 85 watt CFL bulbs and it's likely all these inexpensive brands are manufactured in the same Chinese factory under similar quality control. However, an important difference between this RaLeno 800 watt softbox kit and other brands is the higher CRI rated bulbs that come with it. (According to pro photograhers if a softbox is used for a green screen chroma key it's recommended the bulb has a minimum CRI of 90 and even when used without a green screen a softbox with a higher CRI rated bulb will produce the truest, most lifelike color of whatever is photographed.) What's exceptional about this RaLeno kit is its 85 watt CFL bulbs with an impressive CRI of >95 compared to the 80 to 90 CRI rating of CFL bulbs in most other softbox kits. Aside from the superior high CRI rated bulbs RaLeno uses, the softboxes and tripods are durable, sturdy, easy and quick to set up and take down. An added bonus is a 1/4-20 screw on the tripod's top making the tripod useable with photo equipment having the standard 1/4-20 sockets. The included carrying case is great for both storing the kit's components as well as transporting the softboxes to where you'll be using them. The only shortcoming of these softboxes is the 6 ft. long power cord to which I'd recommended adding an extension cord with a length that will meet your needs. Overall, this terrific RaLeno PS40 kit offers exceptional value - MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED FOR THE PRICE! It's a bargain worthy of 5 stars! Excellent light quality for product photos
I've been using these lights for about 2 months now and have taken about 100 product photos with them. I am a reseller and I was looking for high quality lighting without spending crazy amounts of money. I was needing lights that showed the true colors of my products because I was wasting too much time color editing my pics to get them the same colors as my products. For me this lighting set up has been a huge time saver. The lights are really bright but I noticed that when I took pictures of products that have a lot of dark colors in them, it seemed like the lights weren't bright enough - the dark colors were even darker in my photos and didn't show the true color. After trying to adjust my phone camera to compensate for that, I had the realization that if I put a dark object onto a black background instead of white, the dark color of the object will actually stand out as the lighter of the two and my phone will focus on that instead of auto-compensating for the really white background. I figured that out about 30 product photos in. Since I've figured that out, I haven't had to do ANY color editing to my photos at all. So even though the lights are super bright, especially with a white background, now I mostly leave my black one up just so I don't have to keep switching back and forth when I'm shooting a darker colored product. I do love that the whole setup can be quickly and easily set up and taken down. I don't have enough space in my reseller's corner to leave them set up all the time and it probably takes me less then 5 minutes for the whole process. The one issue I can see that will most likely develope over time is that the screw mechanism that is used to hold the lights at different angles is made up of plastic and I can see the teeth starting to wear down and not hold the lights up anymore. But I think just putting a rubber washer in there will take care of the issue. Hopefully the manufacturer will listen to it's customer's and make that change. Others have stated the same issue. Despite that I still gave them 5 stars because they work SO well for me. To clarify, the phone I am using to take all my photos is the Google Pixel Pro 7 and the only editing I do now is with the PhotoRoom app. It automatically takes out the background and resizes the photos according to the requirements of the reselling platform I use.

Inexpensive softboxes
I am a professional photographer who shoots weddings, but I also like to travel light on personal vacations without having to fear getting my gear stolen. I also occasionally teach classes, and most students ask for inexpensive recommendations. I have referred them to this product. PROS - Inexpensive - Throws some decent, 85 Watt, 5500 Kelvin-temperature light - On/Off light switch - Fairly quick setup - Carry bag included - Diffuser can be easily swapped (velcro-mounted) - Softbox is lined with Silver reflecting material CONS - Stand knobs are plastic material and not suitable for professional use - End of stands are not threaded, and so flash cannot be mounted on via hotshoe - Diffuser is not quality made but will work fine to soften the light - Instruction manual does NOT provide any instructions at all. It only lists items that are included TIPS - Do not touch the light bulb with your bare hands. Oil residue can shorten the bulb's lifespan. Instead, screw/unscrew the bulbs with a towel/gloves instead. For photography students or home-based photo work, this softbox kit works perfectly well. Because of the build quality, I do not recommend this for professional use, such as on weddings, as they will not hold up after prolonged use. This product works well for light use. Overall, I like this product. If you find this review helpful, please hit the "Yes/Helpful" button below to encourage me to write more. Thank you!

My Wife's First Shoot
So many reviews leave out one of the most important aspects of lighting equipment, what RESULTS can I expect? My wife recently decided she wanted to learn photography. She found a good, used pro-sumer camera and these are her first studio pics. Learning to shoot with constant light is much easier than learning to shoot with strobes. This kit provides 2 very nice medium (approx. 2x3 foot) softboxes with diffusion covers. The bulbs are HUGE and I highly recommend putting them in the foam shipping boxes when not in use. They produce a nice light that is 5473K. This is VERY close to perfect daylight balance. Daylight is 5500k so these are close enough. Assembling the softboxes was super easy. They open like an umbrella and quickly snap in place. There are no impossible rods to insert like with many other softboxes. The bulbs screw in as you would expect and the diffusion covers hook over the corners and have velcro to hold them on. The stands are very functional. They are light enough to make transport and setup easy yet sturdy enough to hold the lights. I would caution you to not tighten the lights too tightly on the stands as the brackets on the lights are plastic. A "snug fit" will hold them just fine. There is no need to overtighten. We were able to achieve f2.8 and 1/60th at ISO 100 and that is very good for portraits. I could see this set being very useful for shooting babies on location as it is lightweight and easy to set up and it provides ample light. If you push the ISO to 400 you can easily get f5.6 at 1/60 or even 1/500 at f2.8. The ultimate question is would I buy this again if I needed another set? Yes, absolutely!

Great set of soft box lighting kit 📸
Great set of soft box lighting kit. Comes with 2×50W daylight LED lighting bulb, 2 × 20 × 28 softbox window; 2 × 27-80in height-adjustable light stand; and 1 × portable tote. It is easy to set up and operate with. Has an umbrella shaped opening and closing softbox, and the stand is adjustable. The diffuser is nylon cloth with reflective silver internal face inside, and a nylon cloth for smooth light flow. I just used mine today for the first time since I bought it, and it was wonderful. I am pleased with this product, and its quality. I think it’s a great value for the money, and works great for photography. I would recommend it.

Love this Softbox Lighting Kit!
I use this for my clothing store. Super bright 50W LEDs with natural 5500K light make my photos and videos look amazing. Easy to set up, great for portraits and streaming. Definitely worth it!

You can’t adjust the brightness! Otherwise good quality lights
The two things that don’t work perfectly for my needs are that the light doesn’t adjust in color degree (yellow to white) or brightness, and the cord for plugging it in is short! I think I can solve both by plugging it in to a dimmer, but that’s an additional purchase to make. Honestly it does the job for basic stuff but the ability to adjust your lighting is crucial so it makes no sense to me why they wouldn’t include that feature (or why I overlooked it when purchasing). They fold and store very well and are easy to take apart/put together. The light itself is high quality and bright. The white screen to put on top of the light is quite thin. I’d suggest looking for another set with adjustable light settings though.

Me encantaron
