Excellent
I used this caulk 15 years ago on my 1958 mahogany boat and it held up well. I'm using it again during a restoration of the same boat. The caulk sticks to wood better than anything else I've tried and does not shrink and stays elastic. It is not the easiest caulk to work with. As the directions say, it is a must to mask anything around the area to be caulked. The working time before it begins to skin over is short so planning ahead is important. Working in my dry garage, the caulk can take a week to cure fully.

Superior seal but takes a few days to cure.
If you have a little patience, this product is works very well. Cures under water, below the water line, and removes fairly easily when it's time to reapply. I use it to seal bouyant outboard mounting bracket. Used 3M 5200 before, this works much better, lasts longer, easier to remove and reseal when necessary.

I’ve used tons of this.
Boat Life caulk. Takes a long time to cure. It’s cold here and I needed it to fill deck joints. Even after a week it was still not cured. Ultimately it’s easy to work with.

Doesn't like to be primed or painted
This stuff takes a long time to cure but that I knew. Then after about 3 weeks I painted over it with some KILZ 2 primer and the primer got and stayed tacky over top the caulk. Everywhere else was fine. I went on ahead and painted but it appears the paint didn't adhere to the primer over top the caulk. Everywhere else the paint and primer bond is great. All work was done in a garage with temps probably around 85 degrees F.

Sets up nicely and appears to hold well
This stuff is fierce - as in you can actually use it underwater. And if you're not using it under water than you should have some sort of respirator because the fumes are just as fierce. It spreads differently than household caulk so take your time. Sets up nicely and appears to hold well.

Good stuff. Works very well to seal boat seams/holes
Good stuff. Works very well to seal boat seams/holes... I use it to plug drill holes on the transom. It's been under the water line in saltwater for over 9 months without any issue.

Arrived with expiration date scratched off
I have used this on my sail boat extensively in the past. This time when I purchased, it arrived with the expiration date scratched to the point it is illegible. Since caulk products have an expiration date for a very good reason, it's hard to trust that this tube will live up to its predecessors.
