Great, working tool
This is a staple, return purchase for me! Hot enough for my thick, coarse, wavy hair. Gives my hair great, real, traditional curls. I’m sure it would be just as great for the twisted waves that are so popular today, too.

Perfect for soft, long-lasting curl
Perfect for fine, hard to curl hair. I used a low setting (7) and held curling unit to the count of 20. It resulted in soft curl which held all day and was still intact after sleeping. I am over 60 and have colored hair. So much better results that with regular curling iron. The "spikes" hold the hair loosely without tangling. Absolutely recommend.

curls to go
I needed a new curling rod. One with a smaller but not kinky curls. 3/4 in is perfect and it arrived on time and works great. Price was good too. Cheaper than n the store. It's lightweight, cord doesn't tangle and heats up very fast.

Works Great but Lacks Quality Control
Either Conair’s quality control has gone down or this is a cheap knock off to the original. Pros: 1. It heats up quickly, within 3 minutes using the power boost feature, and makes no noise at all. 2. It works well on fine straight hair, better than any other curling brush/iron I’ve ever used. 3. It does not create excess static. 4. There’s a decent temperature range (1-25) that you can adjust. Cons: 1. The metal bands that run in between the combs on the barrel are more flimsy than the original, which makes me wonder how long it will last. 2. The unit I got was clearly used. The packaging was a mess and there was hair in the barrel. Ew! I had to clean and sterilize it prior to use. Overall, this curling brush works really well on fine straight hair. The hair in the barrel was avoidable and simply a lack of care (-2 stars), but operationally it works great. I may return it if I can find a different seller at the same price.

This curling-iron brush is great. I have had the 1-1/4" model for about one week. I use it to create curls, but I also sloooooowly brush some sections with it. It is awesome for that! I have shoulder-length, fine, wavy hair that is a bit frizzy. Slowly brushing with this iron removes the frizz and makes my hair look smooth, like I did something with it. And the process is so easy and fast. Today I curled about three sections and iron-brushed the rest. That took three minutes, if that. I also love that the heatsource is guarded by the bristles. I'm much less nervous about burning myself than when I used a regular iron. And I love how soft and blended and bouncy my hair looks. OK. There are a few downsides ... The first time I used it, I set the heat to the midpoint. That didn't seem to be hot enough, so I tried the turbo boost. Yikes! That burned my hair. Luckily, as soon as I smelled the burn, I was able to remove the iron quickly. There is no visible damage to my hair. So I plan to never use turbo boost again. And anyway, I don't need it, because I have found that 21, which is near the highest setting, works well enough on its own. I hold each curl for about 10-20 seconds, depending on how thick the section is. When creating curls, the brush can cause tangles, but I avoid most of them by brushing all my hair with my fingers before any styling begins. I also use the iron to brush through any section I am about to curl. Another thing that happens when creating curls is that my hair tends to slip through the brush. If I can catch a wider, but thinner section, it works well. I believe I will get better at that with practice. If not, I will buy a thermal glove and hold the end of the section to the iron as I start to roll the curl. These drawbacks are minor, though. I am so so so happy with my soft, smooth locks.

Not for professional use at all. The first time I used I loved it but when I used the third time , it made me hair tangled and it pulls the hair after few time use.

The brush is very versatile. I can either curl my hair or just brush it into place. Very easy to use and heats up quickly.
