Sol de Janeiro Hair & Body Perfume Mist

I ordered this hair and body perfume mist because I’ve been wanting something more vanilla and beachy for summer. I keep seeing Sol de Janeiro and the popularity of their 62 fragrance, so I went ahead and ordered it based on the description and hype alone. When I first sprayed it on my wrist, I wasn’t an immediate fan. It smelled very synthetic and I didn’t like how it faded into almost a musky baby powder vibe. It was super strong and I thought I made a huge mistake. But the next day I tried using it as it was intended, and I just tried a light mist over my hair. One pump, and I wasn’t even sure if it landed on me! Anyway, it turns out it did, and I was able to enjoy a lighter, fresher scent throughout the day. It never shifted to that baby powder scent. The musky, maybe sandalwood, fragrance was very much in the background where it be!onged. Lesson learned. For me, this is great as a subtle hair fragrance but not so great on my skin. My skin chemistry may play a part in that as well. So now, I can enjoy this fragrance and I can see wearing it throughout the summer. At one pump a day, it will last forever, and it’s a good value for $26.

I ordered the smaller size of Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 specifically for travel, and it ended up being perfect for throwing into a beach bag or carry-on. The scent is very summery and warm, though on me it reads more “luxury sunscreen at a resort pool” than true gourmand vanilla. That probably sounds negative, but honestly I mean it in the best possible way. It has that sitting-by-the-pool-on-vacation kind of vibe that just smells happy and warm weather-y. The notes are supposed to include pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla. I definitely get the vanilla, but I can’t really pick out distinct pistachio or caramel notes individually. Instead, everything blends together into this creamy beachy scent that settles really nicely on skin and hair. One thing I especially like about this mist line is that it works really well sprayed into hair. I find the scent lasts much longer there than directly on skin, and I’ll still catch little hints of it throughout the day. The spray itself is also well done. It puts out a fine enough mist that it’s easy to lightly spritz over hair, clothes, and skin without accidentally soaking yourself. The only minor annoyance I’ve had is the lid, which can be a little finicky. You really have to push it firmly until it clicks into place or it feels like it might pop off in a bag. Ingredient-wise, this is more of a classic alcohol-based fragrance mist rather than a skincare-style body spray, but I haven’t found it particularly drying. Compared to heavier perfumes, it wears softer and more casually, which honestly fits the whole beachy aesthetic of the line really well. While the smaller size is a little pricey for a body spray, it lasts a long time so I think it’s a pretty good value. The larger size is definitely a better value if you’re wearing this often. Overall, I totally understand why this scent has become so popular. It’s easy to wear, very vacation-coded, and feels especially perfect for summer!

Im new to this brand. I have 62. Which smells like pistachio caramel and vanilla. But in perfume form? . I use the body wash as lotion because i love layering like that. I got compliments the first time I wore this. It smells absolutely wonderful wonderful wonderful!!!!!!!! Seriously it smells awesome. Perosonal tip: the vanilla and sweet notes dont mix well when your skin starts to sweat even a little. Actually no perfume does. Do you wonder if your perfume is offensive to others? I did. What works for me is to spray your perfume on your clothes not on your skin. It stays on for a lot longer! The smell on my sweater was there for a week after I first wore this! It absolutely has staying power which is unheard of for a body spray. Second, I store all my sprays in the fridge. They smell better and last longer and slows down the musky notes that perfumes tend to get. Last, I spray this on my shirt and sleeves thirty mins before I leave the house. It smells way better than spraying right before you leave. And I am generous when I use this because its body spray not perfume. I also got 40. It wasnt my favorite. It smells too flowery and old lady like. But still smelled very good in its own way. Good enough I would wear this around the house. This line makes good scents what can I say. Lastly, I got 87 which is my absolute favorite. This smells like coconut the beach and sunscreen. I personally love the smell of sunscreen! It doesnt have any creams you can buy unfortunately like the rest of the scents. But for me, the Hawiaan beach by Bodycology smells EXACTLY like this. If you want to try this but dont want to spend a lot, for five bucks you can buy the spray OR lotion from here and my local Walmart has it also. Its the perfect match for me. Anyway, 87 smells sooo good. Theres no way this can be too strong. It just smells like pure happiness and super feminine. All three of these scents were blind purchases for me by the way. Again, spray perfume on your clothes, not on your skin. I bought the bodycology body spray for five bucks just to spray on my sheets and pillow case. I also sprayed all over my sweater and I can still smell it the next day. Had I sprayed on my skin, it would be gone in an hour. For perfume, i dont go over five sprays. Two on each arm and one on my upper chest area. And i never leave the house if i freshly sprayed myself. It may not be strong to you but trust me others will be overwhelmed. At least 30 mins before I leave but i even perfer 45 mins. I lay my clothes out, spray them and then do my make up routine etc. The reviews for this helped me so much, I wanted to help someone out there that was thinking about buying one or many. This perfume mist smells absolutely amazing and lasts for hours I love the warm and sweet fragrance so much. The bottle is also super cute and easy to carry everywhere. Perfect for daily use and special occasions. I will definitely buy it again!

The most delicious smell I have ever worn.. lol.. SMELLS GREAT!!! The only complaint I have.. is the smell doesnt last that long for the price I paid for it! But it smells so good... so I would still order it again.. and I would recommend it to anyone that loves the smell of Vanilla & Caramel!!!

Nice scent but doesn't last long at all..smell disappears after 5 min. Not worth the money.

i LOVE this scent. i want more so bad but im broke. It smells amazing, it’s long lasting! easy to use. easy to transport to and from wherever you’re going. it’s not moisturizing idk why amazon wants me to speak on that.. quantity? it’s a lot yes love it. lasted me awhile! very effective i love it buy!

Absolutely my favorite scent! Soft, but enough scent to last the day! I always get compliments when I wear this. I keep the large size in my bathroom and a small size in my travel bag perfect for daytime or evening.!
