DELICIOUS!
I have a rare kidney condition so I’m heavily restricted on salt. I only wish I had found this sooner! The flavor is incredible and it’s versatile. But I would not use it in anything that is baked or cooked on the stove as the heat seems to decrease some of the potency of flavors. You would never know this was low sodium and it’s the first real flavor I’ve had in a long time that doesn’t count against my sodium restrictions. I liken it somewhat to a cool ranch type flavor. Easy to use but very prone to clumping and moisture so store it carefully.

Successfully replaced salt for me
I have literally tried so many different types of spices trying to replace sodium. This set of spices does do that for me. I do think it’s a bit on the pricey side but if you buy it in bigger quantities, it is more affordable. I have used this on everything from meats to salads. I especially like it on popcorn. It shakes just like any spice or salt would. I have not had it clump up on me. I have started to purchase it the one pound bags. I use a clear shaker to keep it in. So far the spices have been consistent. There is not a lot of this one or that one. The texture and spices are consistent through out the bottle. Not only does this taste good, it is good for you. Finally something that I can use on my food without some weird taste. I was skeptical when I bought the 2 ounces for a lot of money. Now I’m hooked.

Great product! But…
Great product. But I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of how the product is delivered. The wholes are way too large in the shaker, so you will use way more than what’s needed when it’s shaken out of the container. With it being at such a high price point that shouldn’t happen. Also with the product being so powdery the product starts making clumps which is also a waste of product. As far as tastes goes it’s great, I use it on eggs and lots of other things

Rather "pricey"
It has a taste more like Citrus than salt, clumps up easily in the container.

Table Tasty version - Great tasting salt substitute
Love the taste and health benefits of this Table Tasty version of Benson's. Have been using it for a couple of years after my brother gave me a humongous package of it. Has a slight lemon flavor. Table Tasty blend really is a nice salt substitute with nutritional yeast as a primary ingredient plus other herbs and ingredients - and without added potassium, important to those of you for whom added potassium can be detrimental to your health. The quality and taste of Table Tasty absolutely warrant 5 stars. Because of that, I didn't deduct any stars but you should know this about Benson's small shake-top container. After only 3 uses, the thinner-than-normal, flimsy plastic flip-top lid has broken in half where the flip top connects to the screw-on base. Another problem is the size of the holes in the shaker top. Holes are much too large for table use, so instead of a sprinkle, it dumps way too much in one spot, yes even though I'm holding it a severe angle and trying to shake sparingly. I specifically ordered this small shaker-top version so I would have a container to shake on food after it was already prepared and plated. Today I'm going to swap the top out with a sturdier one from another brand spice container that has with smaller holes. I have also ordered a subscription of the large package of Table Tasty since I also use a lot of it in cooking. It's a staple in all of my savory foods recipes. For those of you who have have medical conditions and need to cook with no salt added and are trying to find good quality and affordable sources, I can also highly recommend Marshalls Creek Spices for their No Salt Added blends. My brother and I have been buying - directly - from Marshalls Creek Spices for years. Tons of spice blends available - NSA and regular - and cost is excellent, including shipping price. Their fliptop shake containers are much sturdier than Benson's. My brother has been buying from MCS longer than I have, and he now buys the bulk packages and refills his shaker containers which have been holding up well for 10+ years. Marshalls Creek Spices also offers several different container sizes including bulk packages. MCS also uses sturdy shipping boxes. This is in contrast to the soft-side envelope that Benson's small shaker-top version came shipped in from Amazon - in the same package as a set of hand towels and a blouse, so I'm glad the Benson's didn't get broken during shipping. Now that I found Benson's on Amazon and see that they have other flavor blends, not just their Table Tasty blend, I may try some of their others.

NO SODIUM. NO POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. NO MSG. NO SUGAR. NON GMO. BEST FLAVOR!! BENSON’S IS THE ONE!!
I was recently placed on a low sodium diet, and I am OCD about a lot of things in life, but particularly about following rules about what I can eat and what I can’t. I went and tried all of the salt substitutes available out there. Most of the ones that contain potassium chloride come close to mimicking salt, but don’t quite achieve it, and also have kind of a funny aftertaste. Also, too much potassium chloride is just bad for your body in a different way than sodium is. After all my individual taste tests on all of the competing products out there, Benson‘s Table Tasty salt substitute hands-down has the best flavor of all of them. None of the others really taste like salt at all, but whatever blend of herbs they use in Benson’s seems to trick your brain into thinking salt is one of the ingredients in there, even though it’s not. This salt substitute is highly superior to all of your other choices, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

My FAVORITE Salt-Substitute ever!! LOVE! ♥
I absolutely love the flavor of this seasoning. I discovered it a few years ago & was using it up too fast, so I slowed it down for awhile, as it can get pricey. I need to be on a low-sodium diet & just have not discovered any seasonings that I really like, except for this one. I keep trying Mrs. Dash & others, but they are just meh! I use them, but I don't love them. So I'm back to buying this all the time. It has a lot of flavor, but it doesn't taste like regular salt. I feel like it's a salt-free seasoning, not so much a salt substitute per se. Remember everyone's taste buds are different. To me, it has a 'LEMONY-SOUR' flavor. I use it on so many things, but my favorite is on things with butter/margarine, such as baked potatoes, cooked vegetables, popcorn, etc. l also love it sprinkled on salt-free potato chips, low-sodium Ritz crackers, just about anything that needs a flavor boost. I've also used it on buttered toast as a simple snack. I've never used it for cooking, only for sprinkling on afterwards. Besides providing the much needed flavor for salt-free foods, I love that it has NO pepper, no garlic, no potassium chloride, no sodium. It's NOT spicy like so many other seasonings. If you're expecting a straight salt flavor, there's a chance you could be disappointed. But if you're open to trying a different kind of flavoring, I'd say to try it... I would use it even if I didn't need to watch my diet. A few cons: - The price. It has gone up quite a bit in the last few years. It's a small bottle & sprinkles out freely, so it goes fast if you use it often. It's expensive. - There are some crunchy, hard pieces dispersed throughout, pieces of dehydrated veggies, I believe, carrots etc. ~I could do without those~ I don't like biting into anything hard. I once read a review where a reviewer said she would grind it up, but I can't be bothered with that. - It can get 'cakey' on the bottom in humid weather. But it never lasts that long in my house. I've been known to bring it to restaurants with me. I recommend it & have done so to many people. 5 stars.

Great Alternative to Salt
Benson's salt substitute is an excellent alternative to salt. It really adds some salt-tasting zest to food items. Wonderful for people who can't use salt.
