As a Chartered Engineer and Senior Manager and Director in manufacturing industry I have never seen such a poor mechanical design.All went well for some months after I fitted the knobs to my kitchen door.Then one day I put my hand out, grasped the knob to open the door and it simply came off in my hand leaving the chrome metal work in place.The reason?The beautiful knob was stuck in place to the metal with adhesive to a thin round rim of chrome. The contact area between chrome and knob was so small I could not understand how any designer could belief that such a manufacturing method would possibly be fit for purpose.I will retain the item to show others.

I also bought the same pair in amber, sage green and blue. They look so lovely with the chrome fitting. Looks great and nice quality.
