I was prepared to return this appliance because my wife just told me we already have a “Cuisinart” Coffee Grinder. I like the Shardor Grinder Better. So, I plan to keep it! I did a side by side comparison and I believe that the Shardor makes a better countertop impression. Although they both cost the same the Shardor has an upscale, professional presence! The Shardor even looks five times more expensive than it really is. It is easy to use and works like a charm. The Manufacturer has the confidence to put his money where his mouth is and offered me an extended warranty if I “Register” my purchase! I am happy to oblige. The only thing Shardor needs to do is work on it brand identity. “Cardia” by Shardor is a suggestion for a high end brand! I would expect to and be willing to pay more! Bought this to replace the Hamilton Beach Coffee & Spice Grinder(HB) I bought several months ago to grind things like egg shells, flax seeds, etc. So the features for its replacement had to be a) no twisting in order to get the lid/cap to lock in place in order for it to grind, b) grinding bowl had to be removeable for cleaning, and c) only need to push down to start grinding. As powder goes everywhere, needed the design to not twist because the dust seemed to get into the HB and make it nearly impossible to twist the lid so I could continue to grind. This grinder does seem to contain the dust better though there is still some that goes down the side of the grinder bowl but at least it hasn't seemed to filter out from under the lid until the counter while I'm grinding. The grinding bowl is larger than the HB's so that is great too. The grinding bowl is metal so I am hopeful that it will last. Not sure how long the blades stay sharp though and since they can't seem to be removed that might mean it doesn't last that long. Though I do not have to twist the lid, I do have to twist the grinding bowl to get it to lock in place before it will activate the blade. So far, that twisting has not be nearly the fight I had to do to get the HB lid to lock. Then just put the lid on so it lines up and push down on the lid. Grind is controlled like others by how long you hold the lid down and allow it to grind the seed, etc. It is a little more than the HB but since I am not having to fight it to work the price was ok though not sure I would pay any more and if you can get it on sale all the better. The bowl and lid did well in the dishwasher, but I don't use the dry cycle! Hopefully the plastic lid will hold up. It doesn't feel flimsy, so I am hopeful.

I've been using this coffee grinder for just about 5 years and remarkably it's still going. I bought this is July 2021 and have used it every single day of my life since then. Remember the pandemic? I do. Everyone does, except babies, and babies can't read. If this thing eventually dies I'll definitely buy the exact same one because it's way better than some cheap Target coffee grinder that breaks within a month. It's just a coffee grinder, but it's a beautiful, reliable coffee grinder. Buy it.

I actually purchase this for grinding my dehydrated garlic and spices from my garden. It served it’s purpose.

I bought a different (and less expensive) grinder several months ago. It worked okay but there were little annoying things about it. Then one day it got bumped and tumbled to the floor and pieces of it went in several directions. I was NOT heart broken over it. This grinder was more than double the price of the last one but, the container inside is bigger than the last, is removeable, and is metal! Those three things in and of themselves make this little grinder TOTALLY worth the extra price.
