I bought this on Amazon in August 2024 and have used it only twice. The first time, I was having trouble figuring out how to move the suction evenly across my face. I felt scratches on my face, which I could feel but could not see. A week later, I thought to give it a try again, and I was pulling the suction across my face with more confidence. I felt more scratches and red marks. At one spot, the scratch became a little deep. It took a few days to heal, which became a slight scar. I was upset and waited another week before I had the nerve to try again. I decided to change the grey disc that originally came with it. I tried many times but couldn't get the grey discs out. Unfortunately, I was a day late and missed the return window. I contacted PMD by email and explained my situation. They responded immediately and asked me to send a video of me trying to remove the disc and the purchase info. They sent a return label, and three weeks later, they replaced it with a new PMD. The first thing I did was remove the grey disc and put it back to ensure it was working. Since then, I have used it a few times and don't feel any scratches on my face. From this experience, the disc was stuck too tight the first time, which caused those scratches. My advice is to remove the disc and reinsert it before using PMD. The scar has been getting lighter since I started with the new PMD. My skin feels very soft, and the dark circle under my eyes has greatly improved. I am very happy with the PMD customer support.

This item takes practice. On delicate areas, I would pull back the skin taught or it can do some damage. The discs seem to wear out after 2-3 uses. They do have a small assortment of coarseness but you will probably need to buy more. I use this on my face only. I have some hyperpigmentation that I want my serums to penetrate but can't seem to get past the upper skin later. This definitely helps. Some might be better off with a microneedler but for my purposes, this is good. No amount of exfoliating scrub does what this does. It's like gentle, controlled sand paper.

Bought this in july 2022, loved it the first few times i use (only use it once a week), thought that its the best i had bought after watching and highly recommended by shea w-but oh my, after just a month and a half, discs still spins but no suction and giving hissing sounds when it spins. Im passed my return date so nothing can be done, there goes the $159 in the trash bin, what a big waste. Very very frustrating

So my mother (69 years old) watches commercials as so many that age do since they don't pirate commercial free stuff like a normal person. Anyway she got taken I think by ANOTHER snake oil salesman claiming perfect skin if this little sucky, rubby, tool goes at your face. Well after you look like a octopus just worked you over like a gang initiate you have red circles and spots all over your face and a few empty holes where black heads were. Those holes fill in pretty quick so you will need to close the pores or your face will break out with new stuff oftentimes worse than the original issue. But it functions somewhat like advertised.

I bought a replacement after my ten-year old PMD stopped working. Be sure to use the practice tip to get the feel and then use the lightest one before going to any other level tip. I found that the suction on this new PMD was a lot stronger and it was a mistake to assume it was OK to keep using the blue tip without testing it with the practice tip first.

So far so good. The directions are a little sparse on how to change the sandpaper tool. I had to push it down a bit to get the proper alignment and wasn't totally clear on whether it was a pull-off or twist to remove it. I love that there are so many levels of abrasiveness that comes with the kit. I used the training one once and then switched to the next strongest sandpaper. I think the people who have experienced adverse reactions probably weren't using the tool correctly. I've been doing at home microdermabrasion for years - never just leave the suction on one part of your face or you WILL have issues. If you use it as directed, you'll be fine... also don't start with a really strong sandpaper just because you want to see results. Results happen with consistency over time, not from being too harsh with your precious skin. The price was great! I got this at about 50% off which was a good deal, though there are less expensive options that do about the same job. I recommend getting the color that's on sale rather than pay more for a certain color.

It would be fine if you didn’t have to replace the discs every week for $25 absolutely useless product unless you want to spend a fortune
