I read one comment that says fan too loud for home use, but hows the sound quality? Does it over heat?

doesn't over heat sound is great fan no too loud you get use to it

Are the fans really loud for home use?

No the 4800 4000W has very little fan noise. I did have some with the 5000W I cleaned the fans and it went away. Great amp. I run my mixer and 4 speakers with no issues.
