I put this in a doorway to my personal library. It's beautiful and stands out as a work of art! Easy to hang and it's quite sturdy. I had feared it would be brittle and break easily. Not at all! Strongly built. The colors are vibrant. It is at night that it really comes to life. During the day, not as visible, but still suggests bookshelves and books and vases, etc. I'm a boomer and this reminds me of the Pier One days when this sort of beading was easily attainable. I again have to stress how strongly made this is. Never tangles, or knots. Well weighted. I am very, very pleased with this product!

When my wife told me she wanted a beaded curtain for her writing office I groaned inwardly. They were popular amongst the hippies in the 60s but we are now in our 60s and our culture has matured. But I do love my wife so I looked around and found some of those bead curtains that looked like cosmetic jewelry on steroids, it was a bit much for me. I looked on-line and found a bamboo beaded curtain that looked like a book shelf by ABeadedCurtain. It was attractive and actually pertinent, a bookshelf hiding a secret writing room, how cool was that. I ordered it and put it under the Christmas tree. Come Christmas morning it was my wife's favorite present - she loved it. I was pleasantly surprised at its solid construction, wasn't expecting that from a bead curtain. It was easy to install, and we were both thrilled when we saw if after I installed it, it looks even better than advertised. We are both extremely happy with our new bookshelf beaded curtain from ABeadedCurtain.

Our bedroom closet has no door so I can see right into the mess and I have wanted some sort of curtain to hang there for years. When I saw this bamboo bead curtain that looks like a colorful bookcase, I took a look around the room with its shelves of books, the pile on the floor and my TBR tower that threatens to topple onto me one night and KNEW this was my new closet 'door'. It looks stunning. Its colors are bright and pretty, the beads are cut from sturdy bamboo and hang nice and straight, the design is artistic and well, we can't stop looking at it. It's perfect. The price is affordable for the quality of product you receive. It needed a few minutes for off-gassing but we have no complaints. So good looking.

Definitely disguising; had this in an apartment I rented in a friends house and any other friends or family looking at this up the stairs into my room (which we never could find a right fit for a door) literally always thought it was an actual book frame until they got about halfway upstairs towards my room. But it definitely seemed like the beads themselves fell off somewhat easily only because they’d catch on things like my dresser or something else. They’re thick as a pencil with the one I got but it’s just a hollow stick or something with small wire running through the middle. Decent enough

Received mine today, hung it in less than 2 minutes and I LOVE the way it looks. I purchased the bookcase beads, they look very great. Nice coloring, very even and well spaced. I used these to block off our laundry room from our kitchen and it adds great color and some privacy. I'm already looking at getting a few more of these for my house! Very great, sturdy beads. Edited 3/19/2019 Im still in love with this purchase! It's become a part of our home and memories. It's been though my 2 children, guests, cats, very large dogs and getting caught in my trash compactor door :( but it still looks and sounds so cool. Amazingly it's only lost 1 full strand and 2 halves. But it's not noticably. The color is still vibrant and brings me joy ❤️

BIG improvement over the flat panel bathroom door (and what's beyond) in my cottage home. Easy to hang and yes, it does look better with the door closed - eliminating all light from the back really makes the difference for the "solid" effect. One change - I didn't much care for the look of the supplied hooks and loops for mounting, I screwed a piece of 1x1" wood to the back of the top bar, then screwed that to the door frame. That keeps it tight and solid to the top of door with no gap. Be nice if the mfg would just make the top bar wider and drill it to provide that option (hint hint). Just hung it today, so no idea on durability, but it looks well made. Also worth noting is it's installed in a 24" doorway, so I cut 6" off each side. Last step will be to pretty up the top a bit by adding a piece of screen molding to cover the screws and stain it to match the door frame. So far, so good! PS. I also got one for a four foot closet. Those 6" pieces I cut off the sides for the bathroom will come in handy there, making for a seamless look across the entire closet doorway.

It's really cool, despite its flaws. I removed it from the box as gently as I could, but 7 or 8 strands were broken off at various lengths. A little glue fixed that easily enough, but the wires inside the beads are very rusty, so I expect more strands will fall off eventually. The bigger flaw is that the painting was unfinished or incorrect (see photo). On one of the "shelves," what should be painted to look like books is just bare bamboo with some misplaced black diagonal lines. Since the rest of the curtain looks so good, that unpainted area sticks out like a sore thumb. The 3D objects, such as the vase, were painted rather poorly, which spoils the visual illusion a bit (see photo). Someday maybe I'll dig out my old acrylic paints and try to fix it, but at this price, I should not have to paint the darn thing myself!

I gawked at this curtain for months before buying it. They kept selling out when I would finally decide to but it. After this happening twice, I promised myself i would buy it next time I saw it in stock. There is a reason this keeps selling out, people!!! This curtain is beautifully hand crafted. You can tell it is put together with care and attention. I bought it to cover an ugly staircase leading up to my office. Installation was very easy! My only complaint is with the nature of beaded curtains in general. They are fragile if you are a klutz like me and maybe not small child friendly, but I imagine that cats would go wild. My dog doesn’t mind it, although it took her a couple weeks to attempt to walk through it. Unfortunately, I broke a strand while carrying a box up to the office. Customer service was friendly and prompt. They are helping me replace the broken strand. Could not be happier with this beaded curtain and the company! I am now in the market for a curtain hook to hold it back, so I can’t cause any further damage to it.
