This 5-pound bad of 100% pure, food-grade, non-GMO citric acid is exactly what I needed for my homemade toilet cleaning bombs. The quality is excellentโfine, clean, and easy to work with. I use it regularly and it never clumps or disappoints. Hereโs my favorite recipe that I use to make my toilet cleaning bombs:: 1 1/4 c. baking soda 1/4 c. citric acid 1 T. water (added slowly) 25 drops orange/lemon/lavendar/peppermint essential oil 2 T. hydrogen peroxide (optional, but I add it for extra cleaning power) 1. I mix the baking soda and the citric together in a bowl. 2. In a separate bowl, I combine weather, essential oil and hydrogen peroxide. 3. I slowly add the wet mix to the dry mix stirring it constantly while Iโm pouring it so it mixes well. 4. Once it starts to feel like wet sand, press it into the molds. 5. Allow it to mold and dry for 8-12 hours. 6. Store them in an airtight container. Whenever you want to use it in your toilet bowl, you drop it into the bowl itself and allow it to fizz. If you need to scrub with a brush, you can. I donโt because I use them often enough so nothing builds up. These leave the bathroom smelling so fresh and so clean! โ ๏ธโ ๏ธโ ๏ธ WARNING:: DO NOT mix this with any other cleaning products!! I ONLY use these solo by themselves!!! โ ๏ธโ ๏ธโ ๏ธ So, this citric acid is like a staaple in my home as I use it often in my DIY cleaning routine. Thus, I highly, highly recommend this for anyone making bath or toilet bombs.

I bought this originally for cleaning purposes, but there are actually so many ways to use citric acid around the house โบ๏ธ The quality seems good, and I like that itโs food grade and dissolves easily. Some ways Iโve been using it โก ๐ Cleaning hard water stains ๐ Removing mineral buildup from kettles/humidifiers ๐ Cleaning water bottles and coffee machines ๐ Washing fruits ๐ Adding sourness to homemade drinks or candy recipes ๐ General household cleaning A little goes a long way, so this bag lasts longer than I expected. A kitchen and cleaning MVPโversatile and eco-friendly
I picked up this 2 lb bag of Milliard Citric Acid for cooking, DIY, and cleaningโand itโs quickly become a staple around here. The resealable bag is sturdy and keeps the powder fresh, which is great because a little goes a long way. In the kitchen: I use it to brighten up sauces, candy, and homemade sodasโjust the tangy kick you want without extra liquid. Itโs also perfect for preserving fruit by preventing browningโworks like a charm for slices and homemade jam . For cleaning: I mix a tablespoon with warm water to descale my coffee maker, which cleared out mineral build-up in a single run. It also works wonders on kettle stains and shower headsโfar better than vinegar . Plus, itโs food-grade and non-toxic, so no harsh chemicals lurking in the cabinet . Pros: Versatile use: Cooking, canning, cleaning, craft projectsโcheck, check, check! Quality packaging: Resealable, heavy-duty bag keeps it dry and easy to store Natural & safe: No GMO, biodegradable, and gentle compared to chemical cleaners Cons: Needs measuring: Itโs a powder, so youโll want a spoon or scale handy. Acidic caution: Strong on lime scale but can irritate if aerosolizedโopen windows or wear gloves when mixing. Bottom line: Milliard Citric Acid is a multitasker that earns its spot in your pantry. From boosting flavor in cooking to eco-friendly cleaning, itโs cost-effective, natural, and dependable. Iโll definitely be buying it again.

How could this happen?
I have been searching for a cleaner to get the hard water white scale off our shower doors and shower heads for more years than I care to admit. From CLR, to the green stuff, to Kaboom and vinegar, even barkeepers, I tried everything that promised to remove it. Some worked a little (barkeepers) but most didn't work at all. I saw this citric acid in a review of some other product that the reviewer said did not work. The reviewer said to skip the other product and try this. She called it a "miracle cleaner". OK, I was up for a miracle at this point. I figured it was worth a try. If it didn't work I could always use it to make sourdough bread. It's other name is "sour salt" when used in cooking. I diluted the powder 2 TB per 4 cups warm water as suggested. I poured it into a clean spray bottle. I sprayed the shower door. The white scale melted before my eyes. And I mean MELTED off the door. I rinsed the door with a 2 liter spray bottle (Hudson brand sold on Amazon) and the door was like new! No scrubbing, no nothing. How could this product have escaped my notice all these years? I googled citric acid and saw the many other uses for this product from cleaning the coffee pot, to cleaning tile and windows. The dirty grout in my kitchen...clean! The apple slices got soaked in a light solution before dehydrating.(Cheaper than lemon juice). Anything vinegar or lemon juice can do, this can do better. Enough said. This is exactly the same as "sour salt" in the small container. I bought this because I am never going to get a decent sourdough starter going. I've tried for several years: the hundreds of different techniques on hundreds of bread websites, the "Alaska dehydrated starter" that I ordered all the way from Utah, the "fresh starter" from some folks that said it was over 100 years old and used on the Oregon Trail no less. Well, it was time for plan Z (the cheaters way). Add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per dough recipe (about 3 cups flour) and add an extra tablespoon of yeast and you've got sourdough bread! The first time I used it, I didn't add extra yeast. I guess this salt inhibits yeast action. (same thing happened when I tried to make sourdough bread by adding vinegar.) The second time I used it to make rye bread, I added the extra yeast and it turned out perfectly. I have also used it for sweet and sour sauce. Vinegar is still my other sour ingredient in the sauce, but this adds a real kick. Lots of my grandma's "old country Russia" recipies use this sour salt. Cabbage and meatball recipe and many soups. Look on line for great "old country" recipies.

Awesome toilet tank cleaner!!
I mainly purchased the citric acid to clean the rust/mineral build up in my toilet tank. I had watched a YouTube video that demonstrated cleaning with citric acid and seem to work great. In the past I had tried pouring vinegar and letting it sit for several hours but that did nothing for the tank but it was great to get rid of a stubborn ring in the toilet. I took 1 cup of the citric acid and dissolved it in bowl of warm water. I flushed the toilet and as the tank was filling I poured the citric acid water solution in it. I poured more tap water so that the water level was little above the mineral/rust line in the tank. I took a sponge to wet area above the water line and then let it sit for at least 1 hour. After 1 hour the toilet tank water was murky from mineral rust break down in the tank. I took old tooth brush and lightly brushes mineral/rust at water level and around the flush valve. I flushed the tank and it looked brand new. Very impressed. The YouTuber steps were to shut off water after flushing the toilet. Then take a bucket of hot water and pour 1 cup citric acid powder and mix. I guess someone did that and their toilet tank cracked because of the HOT water. Others suggested no need to shut water and just use water as it fills or use warm and not hot water. Very happy with this product. Product arrived with no damage or leakage of powder.

Millaird Citric Acid for Cleaning
This is excellent stuff for cleaning toilet tanks! It is unbelievable the results you get. I canโt quit bragging about the product. So far I have used it in three separate toilet tanks and all look like brand new! I as kid used it in my front loading washer. The product didnโt disappoint Thank you!

This is the stuff!!!
I used the Milliard Citric Acid to take mineral deposits off of bathroom taps. I had tried vinegar & other products, to no avail. Don't waste your hard earned money on anything else, this stuff works! I mixed 1/2 cup of citric acid to 1 cup of water, put it in a spray bottle & voila! I sprayed it on the taps, some areas required the use of a small stiff brush to rub the product in. I rinsed the taps off & they look like brand new! I'll never be without this stuff. I would think it would work on shower doors etc, any place where you have a mineral build up. I bought the product for this mineral build up use but I understand citric acid has many other uses. I'll certainly purchase Milliard Citric Acid again!

Pleased with this product
I buy the citric acid as a cleaner for my home. It is natural, I use it sometimes in my washer machine to clean the cylinder. I find this particular brand quite good and have bought it a few times.

Great value for great product
I have only ever used this one type of citric acid in my bath bombs, and it works so well I wouldn't change. One bag makes a huge amount of bath bombs and this is GMO and clean, so I can tell my customers that I only use quality products in my bombs. Delivery expectation right on time and packed well. I also love the convenient zip lock bag. Would recommend and will order again.
