Not robust, but no better options
I live in drought stricken California. I bought a new car, for which I paid good money to have periodic paint correction and detailing, and wanted to wash the car myself to preserve the finish. My paint correction specialist had a water containment system at his shop, and I wanted something similar for my home. In researching my options, it seemed that all of the products on the market! including this one, have durability problems, but I wanted the biggest one I could find, and decided on this one.I found it ironic when purchasing this that Amazon was offering a subscribe and save option for this $500-$600 priced product, to have it periodically shipped out to you. little did I know...Aware of the durability issue, I meticulously use my leaf blower to clear out the acorns from my driveway before I used this thing and kept my bucket cart clear of this thing during use. I used the system about once every 4-6 weeks.I owned it for about 10 months when one day it could not hold air for more than 5 minutes and starting leaking water in one corner. This after about 8 or 9 uses. The water leak was easy to find and patch with a repair kit, but the air leak? Good luck, I thought, it could be tiny and be in a million different places, in a hard to find seam.I was planning to inflate it and hold portions of it in a shallow tub, hoping that I could see the air bubbles from the leak. What a pain, but I didn't want to waste another $500 on a second one. Before I did, however, I decided to carefully inspect it on the off chance it happened to be in an easy to find spot... I miraculously found a 2 mm gash, patched it with a vinyl repair kit, pumped it up and... It still leaked, thought it was better. Repeated my inspection and found another 2 mm gash and repaired that, and it finally held air as it originally did. Both gashes were on the lateral surface of the air bumper, where my tires would run over the bumpers when driving into the system. I think there must have been a rock stuck in the tread that might have caused the problem.I wish this thing was thicker and more robust to tolerate a car being driven on and off it, but what choice do I have? Couldn't find a better option.June 10, 2015 update: I was wrong, there is a better option, but it's not available on Amazon. This mat is the Chemical Guys ACC M1 mat that is made from 0.48mm PVC, but they actually make a ACC M2 mat that is made with .70mm PVC. I wish I had known that and purchased that instead. You can find it on the Chemical Guys website.March 2021 update - the thing is massively leaking now. Was having trouble tracking down the leak, when I realized it was actually leaking from one of the valves. The one-way valve insert got crushed from driving onto the mat. It’s probably a $2.00 part at the most, but it’s not the standard Boston valve that is used with many inflatables. Reached out to Chemical Guys to see if they would sell a replacement or tell me where to get it. Multiple attempts on Twitter and through their website contact page. Zero responses. Zero support. Would I still buy this now? No way. I’ll will stop using Chemical Guys product altogether.

Still impressed. Pretty decent.
It seems to be very tough and it can hold air very well. I made the mistake of driving over a valve and had to superglue the valve up to stop the air leaking. It can hold a-lot of water before needing to be pumped out as well. Iv not had to pump the water until iv washed about 5 or 6 cars. I did however have an issue with the Air pump not working. I had to buy an Australian camping air pump. I still am pretty impressed by this wash mat though. Maybe moving the Valves to a better place could help.

Don't get what you pay for
We purchased this mat to help with the water in our garage. This is the second type of mat we have tried. We picked this one because it was more heavy duty and with the price tag figured it would be of higher quality. We placed it, blew it up and it lasted a week then ripped at the seam. We contacted Amazon and got a replacement. We then tried again this time not blowing the reservoir all the way up and it ripped at the seam again. This time Amazon says to reach out to the manufacture. These are big mats once freed from the box and then dirty to try to fold up and stuff in a box to return. It was disappointing that for 600.00 we got 2 weeks out of them both times before they were worthless. We tried to patch it ourselves and that didn't work either. So i would say more doesn't make it better. Our cheaper ones couldn't hold as much water but never were defective.

Need Another solution for bumpers than air.
Purchased and returned in 3 days. It came with a small slit on in the corner on the seam. Tried to repair but gave up and returned within the allotted period. Small hassle, love prime. Note, if your doing trucks the Matt measures of 10x 20 feet doesn’t clear full size trucks well. It also did not ship with the pump I believe it was to come with but since we use it in the shop air was available.

Bad item popped on the first run would not suggest ordering this
This is the worst product I Ordered it already popped after one wash. I tried to call Amazon and do an exchange and now they’re saying that I have to return the item there is no exchanges. What BS this is and for chemical guys not to want to return or exchange the item is even

Not that great
The material for this item is of poor quality. If you need it for daily use, I would not recommend, I had to patch this thing within the first week of use.

Breaks with 2 months!
Do not purchase. It only has a 30 day return policy, yet breaks within two months of use. Very disappointed based on the amount of money I've spent on this mat.
