isn't metal damaging to all honey? (and if the metal container is lined with some kind of polymer seal, isn't that equally bad, or worse, as a contact for food--specially a liquid food like honey??)

I understand why you are asking the question, but there is nothing packaged in any material that will keep any food as pristine as it would be as if it never entered a container.   My suggestion is that you either eat the honey & not worry about the container, or don't eat the honey.  The answer is really not as relevant to your overall heath as you think it is.   Unless you digest all of your meals from contaminated containers, your health is not in jeopardy.   I find stress & worry about such things to be just even more damaging to ones health as what we are actually worried about.

How do you remove the foil inside the can so you can get to the honey??

Good question. I would look for a foil tab, or if there isn't one, use a knife to cut the foil and peel it back. Be careful when playing with any kind of thick aluminum though- very sharp! Once you get passed the foil, the honey inside is so thick and fragrant! I hope that helps.

Yes.It is raw unfiltered ,unheated.It is thick and worth buying because of its floral scent and taste.Its a very unique flavor think of smelling a meadow of  highly scented flowers in the wild and tasting that same smell .It is my favorite honey

Is the current honey being sold harvested from last summer (post-bushfires) or from previous years?

I bought mine before the fires. But the fires are not in Tasmania. They're mostly in New South Wales. Which is an 8 hour ferry ride from Victoria across to Tasmania. The honey is the best I've ever had. Floral. Unique. I've purchase three different brands and enjoyed all of them.
