Best thing for its purpose, much better than boards (straight or curved)
I'm clueless how this item escaped my attention for so long. It is so perfect for the job, much better than other solid, fixed patient transfer aids (such as boards -- while solid boards do have their uses). But for getting a wheelchair-bound individual into a car seat or moved around on furniture, this is perfect, since very little energy (or strength) is required to move them because the material easily slips on itself. The only friction is with the material in the loop, instead of the patient's skin or their clothes against a board or solid transfer aid. The Home Health nurses and physical therapists had never seen anything like this before and all of them went out and bought their own as soon as we demonstrated it.

Lifesaver when trying to move person with a disability
I bought this after seeing it online. It has been a lifesaver for my 86 year old mother who was 2 months ahead of a hip replacement. Things had gotten so bad that she could barely walk, and trying to get her into the car was nearly impossible. With this on the seat, she is able to sit and with some help to put her legs up, easily slide across the seat. Since her hip replacement, I have purchased two additional mats. I have one for her chair in the living room and one for her bed. Again, lifesavers! She doesn't have the upper body strength to push herself back onto the bed without this, and trying to rely on her pushing herself was resulting in very sore wrists. The only caution is to make sure that the person is far enough back on the bed so that they don't slide off. This has not been an issue for us as we are very careful (and the package is clear about how to use this), but I make sure my mom is back before I lift her legs onto the bed. Then I gently push her hips/butt so that she is centered on the bed. She then is able to slightly lift her hips and I can pull the sheet out from the side.

Almost 5 star
This is very nice for sliding in and out of the car, however I need to tidy it after every other use and I am not supposed to bend.

Helpful
What a great idea! Wish I'd thought of it myself. I even looked into making one myself, figuring I could do it cheaper. But by the time I bought the fabric & thread, I think the cost would have been about the same. I have purchased two of these (one got whipped away in a strong wind, so be careful when using it in strong winds! ;÷D ). This is a simple, but EXCELLENT idea. I use it getting in & out of the car & just love it! It's one of those simple ideas that make sense. Oh, and it's washable.

Little to small - found a larger size
Little to small - found a larger size. It is a good value for the price.

Easy to get Mom into bed!
It is really difficult to move a human body that has limited mobility. When my mom sits at the edge of her bed, she cannot scooch back enough to get all of her body on the bed to lie down. Typically, one leg doesn't make it all the way and dangles over the side. I purchased two slide sheets to place under her: one for under her butt, and the other for behind her back when she lays down. At first, when I used them, she could scooch back a little more but ended up sliding forward again. I put a folded towel on top of the (butt) slide sheet with a cord in the fold of towel with a little of the cord coming out of each side of the towel. The ends of the cord are used to pull her onto the bed from behind her. Once I get her into the middle, she lays back and I go around to the side of the bed where she was facing front and swing her legs around (remember, I put a slide sheet under her back, and she still has the one under butt) and I easily (and alone) can get her all the way into the bed. I roll her to one side just slightly and the sheets and towel are removed easily. These sheets are a god send for me and her!

Nope this did not work out for us
We have a larger type item on my mother‘s bed that we love to help reposition her in bed… She has advanced Alzheimer’s. So we thought if we bought a smaller version for the car that it would really help position her to get seated. This did not work out for us at all it is very difficult to pull over when someone is half seated on it and when we received it it was in the shape of an O Which was very strange. There is not enough material to grab a handle on it on either side and she just sits on it and when she moves over she just bundles of the whole thing instead of slides across it. So didn’t work out for us that’s all I can say

My mother was finding it difficult sliding into the car with the fabric seats. This works perfect for helping her sit in the seat properly. So happy with it

Have been using as an aid for my elderly father in bed. He does the work of getting himself ‘boosted’ in bed. By having this sheet under him, it reduces his effort but still has him doing the action.

It's good but not worth for the price. 5 dollars should be adequate.
