We've been using Volport metal plates on all our phones since I bought a pack of them in 2019. We use magnetic phone holders in our cars, because they don't take up much space and do a good job of holding our phones in place. These metal plates work well with the magnetic holders. The adhesive holds them in place well, and they're easy to attach. You get several plates of different sizes in a pack. They're a good value, and I would recommend them.

I have had friends that have bought others and they are ALWAYS complaining that the magnet isn’t strong enough. Then there is mine that is freaking AMAZING! I had it on my dash holder and we happened to be going down a washboarded road and my phone didn’t fall off or even move! The magnet isn’t strong enough to handle the bumps. On the way back my friend put her phone on it and yeah, it didn’t last even a full minute before it fell. Needless to say, we ended up soaking her magnet off and replaced it with one of these. Oh and down south of where is live Vegas area it gets hot!! I mean the heat was hot enough it reshaped my sunglasses. But the glue on this didn’t do ANYTHING!! I had to buy a new case and replacing that was more painful than replacing/installing the magnet to the case, it is so easy!! I have seen the reviews that say the it doesn’t last long, that is TOTALLY BS!! If you get this and you should make sure you wipe down the area with rubbing alcohol before you put anything that you want to stick. That way it removes any and all oil, dirt etc. Even if you think there isn’t oils or dirt you are wrong. So even right out of a packaging or your case you have been using, wipe it down with rubbing alcohol first before you put the sticker, then magnet or if you are just putting the magnet itself. I promise you will love this magnet!!

My last phone had magnets inside the wireless charging mod that lined it up to the charger. It worked really well on my WizGear magnetic dash mount. Now I have a new phone, a OnePlus 6T with a tempered glass screen protector and a hardshell/softshell case. Hopefully that gives you an idea of the weight of the phone, to compare to your own. I stuck the metal plate in the space between the hard and soft case pieces. It's not obtrusive; you can't tell at all that there's a bulge in the back of the case. It does add some heft. It's not a lot, but it's a metal plate. A thin metal plate. But I digress. Like I said, my last phone mount setup was pretty good, but let me say, this setup works BETTER. It's SUCH a solid mount to the dash. I am confident it won't slip off no matter what bumps I go over while driving. It doesn't slide down at all. And yet, grab the right angle, and with the proper leverage the phone will lift free. I used one of the "medium" size round metal plates. The rectangular ones were too large, added too much weight, and weren't necessary to hold this particular phone on the dash. I would guess that those are designed for phones the size of the Galaxy Note series. The 3M adhesive is VERY strong. Make sure you place it right the first time. The only reason I'm taking off a star is, I only received the 8-pack, which had no small mounts. I'm not displeased with the product, just the advertising, which indicated an 8-pack plus a 2-pack of smaller ones. Please, DO NOT send me the small ones! I already have 7 more of these mounts to find homes for among my family/friends.

At first I didn't expect much from these. I Jaber used the magnetic plates that come with magnetic phone mounts and, being that I live in Florida, the adhesive would give out fairly quickly, whether it be poor quality or heat degradation on the adhesive back. Not so with these. Strong adhesion of the plate even after prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat in a car. I recommend using the largest plate you can manage. A larger surface area will stick better and last longer. Also, use the protective film if you stick it to you phone directly. If you stick them to a case just make sure it is clean and free of any type of particles. I find these work best if you phone case is thin enough to mount the plate between your phone and case, but it will work fine on the outside of any hard case, don't use them with a soft case. A soft case will constantly flex against the stiff plate and eventually separate from the each other. The plates themselves are of a stiff metal alloy that will stick to any magnet but have no magnetic properties on thier own. The color blends well with the most common color of phone and case, being black. The finish is shinny so if your mounting surface doesn't have that quality it will be noticeable to some degree. I have yet to conform this next bit as it happened with only one device: if your device is wireless charge capable, being able to charge by being in contact with a surface setup for charging, be wary where you place the plate as it seems to interfere with that feature. Again, only have one device that has that feature so it may be an isolated case.

I bought these metal plates to use with my Ugreen car phone mount for some extra magnetic hold, and they work perfectly. The plates are thin but strong, so my phone feels very secure even on bumpy roads. They were extremely easy to apply—just peel, stick, and you’re done in seconds. The adhesive feels solid, doesn’t add bulk to the phone or case, and hasn’t shifted at all. For the number of pieces you get, the price is very reasonable, and I like having extra plates on hand for other devices. Overall, this is a simple, effective upgrade for any magnetic car mount and I’d definitely purchase again.

These come in a pack of 10 with different sizes - 4 square ones, 4 larger circular ones and 2 smaller circular ones. So already you have lots of flexibility to use on different devices like other family members, etc. I like the fact that it uses reliable 3M adhesive -- so you know that it is good quality. If you follow the instructions and make sure you've got a clean surface to stick on they are strong and never had any issues. Package also comes with a transparent film to protect your phone or case from the adhesive so you won't get any residue when you remove.
