Zojirushi Citric Acid Cleaner for Electric Water Boilers, 4 Packets (1oz/30g each), White

It is a great coffee pot cleaner. It is from Zojirushi and is for their coffee makers. I've used several times in the past.

Zojirushi, in general, is a brand synonymous with high-quality, well-thought out, practical, incredible household products. I use this cleaner with my 3.0 Liter hot-water boiler and it is one of my favorite appliances to use in our kitchen. This cleaner keeps the boiler clean and de-scaled when used on a regular a basis.It’s recommended to use this every few months to ensure that the inside of your hot water boiler is descaled properly from hard materials present in your water.I live in a part of Texas where we have harder water, and even with an Aquasana filter, sediment can build up inside the hot water boiler over time.I would recommend checking the inside of your hot-water boiler every few weeks to months to check if you have any white, filmy residue build-up around the perimeter or bottom of your Zojirushi hot-water boiler. If you do, use this pocket and fill up the hot water boiler with warm water, let the cleaning function work it’s magic by holding down the proper button on your model, and then voila! Insides cleaned!After using cleaner, I always pour out the mixture into the sink, then rinse the insides again a few times to ensure it is completely descaled. Sometimes, though, if there has been significant buildup after nor cleaning for a long time, you may still have to scrub the inside of your boiler to get all buildup out. This is not a knock on the product, just the fact that a ton of buildup needs more than a routine maintenance cleaning to get it completely cleaned out.Lastly, after cleaning and rinsing in the sink, be sure to fill up the container and drain out probably another full tank of water through the spout to SME sure all the chemicals have been flushed out properly. You don’t want to taste the cleaning solution in your coffee or tea! 😖I would highly recommend getting this to keep your product clean and humming on all cylinders!

This stuff works! I hadn't cleaned by water heater in a long time - a bit more than a year - and tried some of the homemade remedies that I saw online (vinegar, lemon juice, etc.) and those methods just didn't really work in getting rid of any of the scaling on the pot.So I bit the bullet and spent the money for this. It feels like it's more expensive than it needs to be, but the fact that one application worked perfectly in taking off ALL the scaling and cleaning the pot, I'm going to say it was worth it. But since the de-scaling really should be done every 3 or 4 months and not once every 15 or so months, it's a pricey bit of maintenance.So, I gave it three stars for value simply because it will become a costly maintenance device. And maybe some of those homemade remedies would work if I did them every months instead of waiting for the amount of scaling I had built up, and then use these just once in a while to give it a serious cleaning.I rated it five stars on taste not because I tasted it - I didn't, and you shouldn't: it's not food - but because I didn't want the taste rating to affect its overall rating.Does it do its job? Heck yes! Supremely well.Is it a good value for the money? That might be up to you to decide.

It works alright but kind of annoying that I generally end up doing two cycles just to get it fully descaled. I ended up resorting to using this first and then a Japanese off brand that is significantly cheaper although with less packets and less in each packet.You can get them cheaper elsewhere, much cheaper. Either direct from Zojirushi themselves, or even cheaper from some popular Asian market type sites that also sell other Japanese off brand options. Hint, search the net for it and hit the shopping option on the search(not here).

Item received is the same as pictured.The product works well at removing mineral deposit build up on the interior of my electric kettle.After an initial boil with the citric acid cleaner, I hand wash the kettle to ensure removal of any residual powder, rinse it, and boil with filtered water to finish.I recommend this product to friends and family as it is a good value and easy to use.

If you have the Zojirushi water boiler, I highly recommend this cleaner. Even though you can save money by mixing your own cleaner solution, the result is not the same as using the citric acid. The cost is a little expensive but the inside of the boiler looks so much better when you used the right product.

This works great! However regular citric acid is the same thing. One packet of this is equal to 1 oz./30 grams of regular citric acid. They showcitric acid 77-92-9 on the label. I looked it up and that's just the scientific name for citric acid.

Realized our water boiler (model CD-LTC) had significant mineral build up. Directions are easy to follow. We used two packets of the citric acid cleaner and it looks almost new!! Images show before > after one packet > after two packets.

A must buy if you have the zojirushi hot water dispenser. This descaler cleans it well. You don't realize how much buildup you have till you use this cleaner.

We bought this because it is non-toxic. I have used it to descale our kettle twice now and we are really happy. When used as directed it works really well. Things to know about using this product. 1/ dissolve it in water outside the kettle first. Then add it to the kettle and run the kettle full to boil. Leave it for 90 minutes. Rinse the kettle properly after and its done.Great results in an area with really hard water. No smell and easy to use.

Did the job of cleaning out, but had to use 4 packs to totally clean out.Best to clean unit, more often, I guess.

This product is great for your Zojirushi hot water pot since it's made especially for Zojirushi products. It descales and cleans up the pot with usually one packet. If more calcium build up use 2 packs. The product was well packaged and arrived early. I highly recommend this seller. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to know if it works well in other products that need descaling I wouldn't know since I only use this descaler for my Zojirushi hot water pot.

Had about a year worth of scale on the inside of the water tank because I wasn't using filtered in my Zojirushi Hot Water Dispenser. had to do 2 rounds but got the job done. When I run out I will likely buy more.
