Umaibo Japanese Corn Puffed Snacks Variety Pack 10 Flavors (20 packages)

Love the variety! They were delicious and I think good for the price. There were flavors I never tried before that I loved. Honestly loved them all. Only one was sort of broken, the rest were packaged well!

We got a sample of these in an international snack box previously. My kids loved them so much I bought this variety specifically to augments the International snack box I bought this year to fill my kiddos Christmas advent calendars. They are like giant puffy cheetos of different flavors. I don't think any are cheese flavored though. All are savory. I think they are mostly seafood flavors. I am not a big fan of seafood so I don't eat them but my kids love them. They come in a celaphane wrap/package. Individually wrapped and what looked like 4 or 5 different flavors. The writing is all in a language I don't speak so I cannot tell you the exact flavors. These treats are a fan favorite at my house. My kids and husband love them. They were fresh and about the length of my hand (?? 5 or 6 inches. I'm really bad at guessing measurements) We will be buying these again!

If your like me and this is one of the handful of things you treat yourself too this is the best one available always a fair price and I haven’t yet gotten a broken snack always above and beyond great selection in flavors and great package protection 100/10

First impressions: when I got them I realized they were ALOT smaller than I originally thought they would be. They're about a little bit taller than an average can of soda. Despite being smaller than I thought, I'm still happy with my purchase mainly because I got 20 packages for only $7 that's a pretty good deal. Also the package it came in was suuppper cute! I would review all of the flavors but I'm not ready to open all of them at once. Maybe when I finish them I'll update my post. But anyways my first experience with these was pretty great!!! Definitely a good buy. Edit: I decided to go ahead a test the flavors. As a result only 6 out of ten of them were at least edible in my book. With this review is a set of pictures you can reference but as you can see the last two pictures shows these snacks seperated into two piles (fourth and fifth attached photo) The first four flavors were the worst out of all of them. They had very unique flavors that weren't too appealing. For instance the first one had a very weird flavor i cant really place a name on it but it gave me a headache, the second one tasted like squid and when i realized this i almost fainted (poor squid) , the third one tasted like wasabi and the fourth one with the rib looking picture on it tasted like a soy sauce packet that usually comes in the instant noodle box called Chow Mien (you can usually find them at food lion, walmart, harvest fair). Needless to say i wont be eating the second package. In the last picture it shows six of the corn snacks that I thought tasted fine. They didn't give me a headache and they tasted like some usual snacks we have in America (well most of them). (1) First one tastes like classic corn curls. Also smells EXACTLY like Ritz Bits kind of tastes like it too. (2)Tastes like sweet white corn (when you bite into it, it actually feels like your eating a corn on the cob) (3)Tastes fairly normal (4 & 5) They both taste like the cheese flavor Andy Capps (You'll know what i'm talking about if you google it). But they dont have intense flavors (6) Last one tastes like sweet curry

Perfect assortment and they taste super fresh! Texture is crunchy just like I like! Amazing quantity as described and super addictive! Over all an awesome value for money!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love these. Got these for the family. So good like a giant cheese curl but different flavors. Definitely will get again so delicious! And got them for a great price!

うまい棒 (Umaibo; "delicious pole/rod") A 棒(bou) is also the word for a staff weapon in martial arts. The name of the flavor is written above the big "うまい" (umai; delicious). I received these flavors: 2 チーズ (cheese) 2 サラミ (salami) 2 シュガーラスク (sugar rusk (not a typo)) - Rusk biscuits are sold in the US as melba toast or biscotti without the almonds. They're more common in Europe and the Middle East. 2 コーンポタージュ (corn pottage), a thick French stew. 2 やさいサラダ (vegetable salad) 2 テリヤキバーガー (teriyaki burger) 2 とんかつソース (tonkatsu sauce), for pork cutlet. It's like a thick Worcestershire. 2 エビマヨネーズ (prawn mayonnaise) 2 めんたい (walleye (Alaskan) pollack roe) - Mentaiko or tarako is a common filling in onigiri (triangular riceballs). 2 たこ焼 (takoyaki (octopus dumpling)) They're puffed corn like Cheetos but have exotic flavors. Their texture is like one big airy Cheeto but larger and straight. Each wrapper with the cartoon cat mascot is marked for individual sale in Japanese and contains 1 stick about 2.5 cm (1 in) wide and 11 cm (4.3 in) long. They have a hole about 0.4 cm wide that runs lengthwise like a straw. Each stick is 5 to 6 g (0.2 oz) and 42 to 53 Calories depending on the flavor. They're very lightweight and break easily, but the wrapper can hold any crumbs. The ones I received remained airtight, not stale, and mostly intact with a couple sticks broken into a few long pieces. The flavors are distinct but weaker than I prefer. The flavoring is coated on the outer surface only. It fades quickly as you chew the puffed corn. The cheese one tastes almost the same as Cheetos. It's nice to smell them before taking a bite. These are airy snacks and won't fill your stomach. Umaibo are made by Yaokin and are known for being inexpensive (about 10 cents each). Yaokin's website lists these flavors and more.
