Monogram International Harry Potter Pewter Key Ring: Golden Snitch

I usually do not write reviews, but I wanted to in reference to this product. I am a long time movie prop collector & I have been looking for a very long time for a decent "golden snitch" that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This definitely is it!!! It is made of metal, has good weight & looks just like the one in the movies. You remove the key chain part, add a piece of clear fishing line thru the loop where the key chain was, adjust the wings (yes they are movalable) & you have a flying snitch in your child's room. Originally I ordered 2, but after receiving them I have ordered 4 more (they are a big hit & I seen every "Common Room" student wanting their own "golden snitch").

This item was clutch for me during the holidays! My daughter, who developed a love for Harry Potter overnight, received a Harry Potter Advent Calendar Box to open each day until Christmas. As we inched closer and closer to Christmas, I was able to peak at the "Big To Do Finale Gift" that was to be opened on the 24th. It was a small snow globe that was a little bit of a disappointment considering the build up. My daughter imagined it would be anything from a Phoenix to a Horcrux! So I decided to order this to shove it in the box with the snow globe, making it look like it all came together. She LOVED it! She actually hung it on the Christmas tree and will probably hang it from her backpack next school year. This is a very cute little item to add onto any gift!

This was a gift for a 50-year-young Harry Potter fan, and he loved it. It's too large for a keychain; although sturdy, the wings would surely get broken in purse or pocket eventually. And it's pretty heavy for a tree ornament. But if you've got someplace to hang it, it would make a great decoration.

This item is a little heavy and too pointed/awkwardly shaped to carry around as a key chain. The parts seem very sturdy, but the wings have a narrow attachment. They might break with heavy use. My daughter loves it, and plans to put it on the chain of her new ceiling fan. She will have wall switches to control it, so she will not be pulling on it all the time. It is shiny and feels solid.

Realistic size with solid feel to it. Good weight, doesn't feel like chinesium metals. Hung mine from a Harry Potter inspired cat tree I built. Cats love it lol

Modified this into a necklace and it turned out perfectly. Item is heavy to the touch and had all the detailing you would hope for in a prop replica. The small loop attached to make it a “keychain” makes it versatile for many other uses. Love it. Buy it now with no regrets. (But don’t use it as a keychain…that is a bad idea!)

I was looking for a snitch ornament and came across this. It works great for an ornament! Just move the ring clasp to the back and hide with a branch. I love that the wings move. It is a bit fragile though so I can’t imagine it lasting long as a keychain but it’s perfect for an ornament that gets packed away most of the year.

This is the only Golden Snitch that actually looks and feels real. The wings move slightly and it is made of metal. I think over time it will scratch and the gold will come off but for the price, easily the best available.

This product was a perfect gift/stocking stuffer for a Harry Potter fan. not only was it in a cute package but it was very well made. Heavier then expected, it was really nice.
