Good solid, compact, lightweight bipod at a very reasonable price. Needs a quick release mount.
What a great little bipod. I used it to replace a Rugged Ridge very expensive bipod on a .308 military style rifle. The Magpul was sold, compact, light and easy to use on a picatinny rail. It was perfect fit. The more costly Rugged Ridge bipod did not handle the recoil nearly as well and needed constant readjusting. The Magpul remained rock solid whole being more compact. The only criticism I have it that is should have included a quick detach lever rail mount giving it an actual score of 4.5 stars rather than the full 5 stars.

Almost as good as a Harris.
This bipod is almost as good as a Harris and if counting a Picatinny to swivel stud adapter its 5 -6oz lighter than my Harris S 6-9" which is the main reason I bought it. The good. Its lightweight and 5-6oz on the end of your gun makes a difference, the legs deploy quickly and easily, the pan and tilt are adjusted on one large knurled nut, there is plenty of range of motion both pan and tilt, you can easily use the bipod legs panned to the side on walls/barricades, the legs adjust height easily, and the bipod takes a heavy forward load with no impression that you are straining it. The not so good. The legs are a little difficult to deploy in a smooth one handed operation, they open at an angle so you need to flatten out your hand and push and one of them likes to bind, I am sure practice will make it easier to do but its something I noticed. Folding the legs back up is also tricky using your left hand its super easy to fold the left leg but you have to contort your wrist to push the button on the right side to fold the leg. Again I am sure practice will make it easier but its something I noticed. The pan and tilt are a single adjustment that is in a sort of inconvenient place if you are used to the Harris system with a lever add on this is certainly an adjustment you will have to make. Maybe someone will make a lever that can be added to nut for this bipod. Also it seems no matter how tight you get that nut it won't lock out either adjustment and it seems to loosen once you start using it. So if you love the fact that you can set and lock your Harris that might be a deal breaker for you. Its not for me, with the nut very tight you can set the tilt and it will stay put, just not locked as solid as a Harris would be. There is a slight rattle to the bipod the fit between the polymer outer shell of the bipod and the metal inner legs is a tiny bit loose and it does make a very small amount of noise. Its nothing major, its not loud but it is there. Overall this bipod is good, it has good features, seems very well made, is strong, lightweight and durable. Its just not quite as good as a Harris for precision shooting since you cant easily lock the tilt/pan. I would recommend it but just know the limitations of the product.

WELL WORTH YHE PRICE
Very eell made with a plastic material, but also with metal fir the adjustments of the unit. I have it on a Tikka t3x ace target. 223 rifle and it wirjs great. I originally purchased a $100.00 Magpul bipod that was not that stable, then I saw this one for less money and took a chance. It work out to be better. I will be purchasing another one soon for my Remington 308.

Magpul Bipod
Built well, heavier then what I would of liked. To me the pivot point is to loose, kind of flops around. Don't see anyway of tighting it.

Nice basic bipod.
This is a simplistic polymer bipod with good quality. I think it is great value for the money especially if you catch it on a sale. I purchased the picatinny mount version. The screws for the picatinny rail mount can be manipulated with a coin which is a bonus. The bipod is constructed with a combination of metal and polymer. There is built in play in the legs that is meant to preload your firearm against. The legs extend with the press of a button on each leg. The legs fold out and lock in the down position. There are no other adjustments, they lock strait down only. They do not fold forward of the down position. There is plenty of cant adjustment that can be locked in position with the adjustment knob. The bipod is fairly light in weight and compact in design. I took a star off because of how hard it is to turn the tight picatinny mounting screws. Also, there is no stock way to quick mount or release the bipod from your rifle. Part of this deduction was the lack of total forward or rearward leg position adjustment. One has to keep in mind it is a basic bipod that is meant to get that kind of job done.

Sturdy and well made, and very light
I've owned a lot of bipods, but this one far exceeds all of them in weight and quality.

Very high quality !
I have four different grades of bipods - from very inexpensive to the Magpul . The Magpul is the best design by far. Easy to install, and configure to different terrains, and very sturdy . No wobble . It is slightly more expensive than my others, but it is worth the price paid . I will probably end up replacing the other ones with Magpul bipods
