Laxinis World Stainless Steel Measuring Cups and Spoons Set, 13-Piece

I SO WISH I'd bought these when I first got my own place! They're so sturdy! When they first arrived, I washed and dried the 1/2 cup measure, and then shoved it into a can of Crisco to see if it'd bend. Not at all-- and all the spoons and cups are made of metal that thick. I've put them through the dishwasher many times, and they're still bright and shiny. I love their straight (not rolled) edges, because there's no little rim for bits of ingredients to get stuck in. I love how each spoon or cup is a single piece of metal with no welds or seams to get broken. What surprised me was how often I use the 3/4 and 1/8 cup measures, and the 1/2 TB measure-- these less-standard measures are convenient to have around. I was used to plastic or rolled edges on my old measuring spoons, so these edges are sharper than I was expecting, but I'm used to them, now-- and, of course, the crisp edge is good for leveling off ingredients. Based on the heavy use I've given these over the last six months, and how exceptionally well they've endured, I doubt I'll ever need to replace them.

If, like me, you are still using plastic measuring cups and spoons from the Dollar Store - Stop! These sets made by Laxinis World are a great value for the money. These are heavy duty - must weigh close to 2 lbs. You won't have worry about the handles bending on these babies. In fact the handles are so heavy that the 1/4 cup and 1/8 cup tip back. The cups are well labeled and easy to read. The edges of the spoons are nicely finished, not sharp. The cups and the spoons both have metal rings that are easy to open. Set comes in a nice sturdy box. Stainless steel, box says ok to wash in dishwasher, and I would agree. There's also another style with longer handles, but I wanted all the extra labeling. Very happy with this purchase.

These cups have a nice polish so they clean up well. The "helper handle," like you see on your cast-iron skillet, is not for heavy lifting--it is so you can rest it on a larger container and it won't fall inside; it also helps you pour liquids out without dribbling. They are well-marked, both in cups and in metric (ml). The best feature, though, is the the in-between sizes. There is a 3/4 cup, a 2/3 cup, and a 1/8 cup. Also there are intermediate markings embossed on the cups, for instance on the 1/3 c. there's a line marked "1/6." The spoons included are equally nice, also marked in ml; and there is the 1/2 Tablespoon and 1/8 teaspoon which are very convenient for halving recipes.

I looked long and hard for a cheaper equivalent to a set I fell in love with from Sure La Table and these are everything and more. Like some other reviewers noticed, when empty the 1/8 cup measure doesn't stay up on it's own due to the handle weight, but I'm not really planning on using that small of a measurement anyway. I definitely wanted handles that were seamless with the measurement cups and they are great and sturdy. I love the stamped measurements so they won't wear off with time. And I absolutely love the stamped markings inside some of the larger cups so I can dirty one cup instead of four while baking. Value for the money is great, and I will be buying these for a friend who is a home baker as a wedding present.

Just getting around to reviewing this after two years- quality is still outstanding! So easy to clean as well.

These are the best measuring cups I've ever owned! (Giving 4 stars only to prove that I haven't been paid or reimbursed for a 5-star review.) What I love: - They are stackable. These stack perfectly so that they fit in my kitchen drawer - EVEN WHEN A COUPLE ARE NOT IN THE SET. So when some are being washed, your set still stacks without the handles sticking up. These have tabs on the opposite end of the handle to aid in this and they are amazing. All other sets I've bought either don't stack well at all or will only truly stack when all the cups are in the set. - Partial measurements on each cup. Each larger cup has a 1 or 2 smaller measurements on the side so you can easily use the same cup for a smaller amount! - Measurements are stamped into the metal. The measurements are stamped INTO the metal and not printed on them, so they will not ever fade off!! - Cups are one piece. My last set had the handles welded on separately and eventually the handles on the two I used most became loose and one fell off completely. These are just one solid piece of metal formed into a cup so handles falling off will never be an issue! - Fully metal. While this kind of entails some things I've already said, many measuring products have fun colored silicone handles or grips, and while I love the look and feel of those, they do not last. The silicone loosens or slips off, allowing liquids to get underneath and potentially grow mildew and mold. Some products even have the size stamped on the silicone which fades off over time. Everything on these cups is metal and stamped into the cup so they will last! - The measuring spoon set is also great, with measurements stamped into the metal, and I love that they came with the cups! What I don't like: - Nothing. I cannot speak to the true longevity of these items as I have only had them a week, but I highly expect to have them for many years to come. I bought 2 sets so I could replace everything I have with these. I may buy another, so that I have a replacement in case I lose a cup. These are not the cheapest or the most fun looking measuring cups but I truly believe this will be the only set that I ever have to buy. I also do not feel that they were overly expensive by any means and they were a great value for the money! Highly recommend!!! Two photos to show stackability. One photo is of some of my current measuring cups stacked next to this set. On the left is 5 of a set I've owned for awhile stacked in size order (1/3 to 1 cup). On the right is the full set of these ones. I can fit all of these stacked together in a drawer, taking up MUCH less space, versus the colored set, where 3 was the most I could stack and still close the drawer. The second photo compares this set to itself when some sizes are missing. The right has all 7 sizes stacked together and the left has the 3/4, 2/3, and 1/4 missing. They still fit together flat!!

Quite happy with this set overall. Only complaints are the cup handles are too heavy and prevent the cups from standing flat.

I purchased these as a Christmas gift. What I liked best about this set was the seamless design- it makes it easy to clean. There are several size cups/spoons that are not typically available in standard sets, so that’s great, and the sizes are embossed & not printed (won’t wash off!). They are strong and sturdy feeling and should last a long time. Just an observation... The handles of the measuring cups have an indent, kind of like a place to put your thumb while scooping/dumping. It does look a little odd (I’m used to smooth, flat handles), so keep that in mind if aesthetic appearance is a big deal for you. For most people it isn’t, and the recipient of the gift thinks these are awesome!
