Q: Is there a reason why this press cannot be used as a track pin press, the pins are less than 1&3/4 in diameter and about 7-8 inches long?

If you can fit the press around the track there's no reason why you couldn't. I use it as a mobile press for many different things and it works great

Yes, that is what we purchased it for. No it didn’t come with adapters. It works well but they can still be a pain sometimes

Complete set for kingpin if you want anything else you must buy attachments

Q: Is this item as shown or is it the new model 4240A with a single hyd piston ?

The 4240A is the latest version with the single hydraulic piston ram. Just an old p/n and picture here.
