Not your basic sorter! A fun, engaging, educational experience for your early learners.
I’m a mom of three boys, a 6 year old, 2 1/2 year old, and an 11 month old. We are BIG fans of the "Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel," book and game by Educational Insights, so when we saw this product we had to have it! I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecting this to be a favorite toy, we have a ton of sorting boxes, and all they do is collect dust. The kids play with the sorters once and then they sit on the shelf. But not this sorter! The creativity, and connection to the book and game made this sorter a keeper and has been played with daily. They literally thought outside the box shape, basic sorter and brought us a fun, innovative way to introduce colors, shapes, vocabulary, and fine motor skills to my little ones. My two year old loves to sort the shapes into the correct spots and then giggles uncontrollably when he pops the shape in and it slides back down to him. The colors are bright, and easily identifiable for beginner learners. They are made from a softer plastic so they hold up well to drops, unlike the harder plastics that break when being dropped on hard tile. I can't say enough about how great of a learning tool this has been! When you team this up with the book and game, you feel like a instant teacher, that just put together a smashing activity plan. If you are looking for a fun, educational learning toy (tool as we moms and educators call it), than this is it!

Helps my son develop more. He likes it.
This is a pretty toy that I got for my 16 month old son. The toy states age 2 and up but under our supervision, our 16 month old plays and likes this toy a lot. We want him to advance his motor skills and sensory skills; this toy establishes just that. It helps him grab things better and teaches him to put in the parts into the tree. The whole principle of it, the tree and fruit, teaches him that trees are good. And trees also product fruit and other things. I really liked that.It is somewhat large, however, and once he masters it, that is it for the toy and what am I supposed to do it with.. I wished there was more to it. Sounds, more shapes on the other side of the tree - just ideas.I hope I was helpful. Thank you.

Fun learning and playing sorting tree!
As a mommy of 2 young kids, I LOVE finding toys that they can both play with. This sorting tree was a big hit with both my 3 year old and 1.5 year old! I love that they are both learning while they are playing with this tree! They had so much fun sorting out the different shapes and matching it to the correct spot on the tree. Their favorite part was pushing it through so it slides down. Love all the different, bright colors so I can teach them colors while they are also sorting. Also I was teaching new words of the different shapes to my 1.5 year old so she was also learning some new vocabulary. The activity guide included some other ideas like tracing the shapes and even singing a song! All the pieces fit nicely in the tree so when they are done playing with it, it is a nice storage to keep all the pieces together in the tree.I love buying toys that are educational and fun so this will definitely be one of my go-to birthday gifts for friends’ kids since I see how much both of my kids are having fun learning and playing!

Decent product with one major flaw from a pediatric OT
The concept is good. I thought from the description that it was musical (which I am glad it isn’t, but for those who think that it is just a heads up).The super major flaw in the design: there is no door to the trunk. So you can’t put them all in first before releasing. And more importantly you can’t store the shapes in the tree. The shapes are a nice quasi rubber texture. As far as the rating asking about suction - there is none (not that I expected it to be). But since it asked I will comment on the supposed feet on the bottom which have NO grip at all because they are made to look like textured rubber feet to grip but are actually plastic.

Having fun watching my great grandson learn
As a great grandmother to a two year old, I love getting him play things that allow him to learn while having fun at the same time. He really enjoys this sorting tree, and I have a great time sitting with him and watching him play. He really enjoys sorting the different objects and then matching them to the correct spot on the tree. I can help but smile when he gets excited as he pushes the shape and it slides down. He is even getting to the point that he can tell me what the shape is and its color. I really like the guide that comes with the toy, which provides recommendations on different activities to do with a child. All the pieces are made of hard plastic and hold up well to all that a two year old can rain down on a toy. The great thing is there is a storage area so you can help prevent losing the pieces.

great for toddlers
This is a cute, well built toy. It’s perfect for my 2 year old to learn how to maneuver the shapes into the slot and then delight in pushing them down the chute. The shapes have a matte texture to them so they can hold onto the tree and don’t immediately push through without the effort to do so. My child loves that she can put them all in the slots and then push them all through. I wish the chute had a door on it so the pieces could be stored inside. These pieces keep getting mixed in with their blocks, etc. and separated from the tree which really makes it useless until found. This doesn’t hold the interest of my 4 year old because it is too easy. The age range for this toy is 4-8 but 2-4 seems more appropriate.

Great fun sorting activity
Really nice change from the usual shape sorters here as this one is in the shape of a tree, with flowers and animals to sort. My little one had great fun with it and loved talking about the colours etc. Really nice learning activity for the little one.

Very good value for money......
This shape sorter has to be one of the very best we have here for the granddaughter who is 16 months old. She sits for ages with us fitting the items into the tree. The bunny has to be her favourite. She loves it trying to push each object into the tree. Although she is young she and learning her shapes and colours she has no problems with this fun toy.
