Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM, Quiet Fan 120mm

These Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fans were another solid upgrade for my server, same story as the other Noctua fans I've swapped in, replacing louder stock fans that just couldn't keep up. Noise level is low even under load, a big improvement over what was in there before. Airflow and cooling performance have been great too, temps stayed in check without needing to ramp up loud to do it. Reliable, consistent quality across the board, worth it if you're after quiet, effective cooling for a server or PC build.

I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised by these fans. They really are quiet - I mean really quiet. They also move a surprisingly large volume of air. They are a bit pricey, but they aren't a risky purchase. I decided to use them for a non-standard purpose after trying them out. I built a house window insert that has many fans mounted to a frame all cabled to a variable power supply. I use these fans to evacuate warm air from my townhouse without running the house air conditioner. They work great, are super quiet, and keep on working and working and working. I also built an air filter for the kitchen to filter air during cooking through a hepa filter. Same frame mounting as tha window, just with a filter in front of the fans. It works great too! no more weird cooking smells. Hats off to the designers! good job, nice product.

This is an excellent 120mm fan for anyone looking to improve airflow without adding a lot of noise to their PC. The fan feels very well made, and the build quality is noticeably better than many inexpensive case fans I've used. Installation was straightforward, and the PWM control makes it easy for the motherboard to adjust the fan speed based on system temperatures. At lower speeds, it's impressively quiet, while still providing plenty of airflow when the system needs additional cooling. The 25mm thickness is a standard size that makes it easy to fit into most compatible fan mounts. I also appreciate the understated design, especially for a build where I don't want flashy RGB lighting. Overall, this is a dependable, quiet fan that provides excellent airflow and solid build quality. A great choice for improving case ventilation or replacing an older, noisy fan.

These fans is amazing. what else do I have to say? The cable length is good. They are quiet, and keep my computer cool. Since I recently moved my setup to a room that has no air conditioning, my temps were hanging around 42-44C. Now that I have installed 2 of these fans in an exhaust configuration to complement the two stock case fans that are in a intake configuration, I am now seeing an average temperature of 36-38C. The temperature difference is more impressive under load. I used to get 68-70C temps but now I get 61-63C temps. I should also mention that the mounting screws go in super easily compared to other fans

These actually look almost attractive with the optional rubber corners installed. Even with the added cost of the corners, these fans represent a great price-performance point for that they are. I have four of these mounted to a 30mm thick 480 radiator. They move a huge amount of air through my radiator. At full speed, they are a little loud, but at 50% or 60% speed, they are literally whisper quiet and still move enough air through my radiator to sink 600+ watts while keeping my coolant barely above 30c. These are massive overkill for my application. On the other hand, who doesn't like massive overkill? It irks me a little that I have to buy $15 worth of little rubber bits on top of $60 for the fans. But, this annoyance is mostly offset by the fact the fans are not butt ugly like most of the other Noctua fans. I am good with the cost reduction and the absence of the usually included accessories (rubber screw mounts, low noise adapter, y cable, and extension cable). However, the fans look kind of bad without the corners These corners are more essential than the usual accessories. It just feels a little scammy. Noctua, if you want to take this good product and make it exceptional, my suggestion is include four black corners with each fan. If your customer wants a different color or wants eight of them instead of four, she can still buy the corners. I think the cost reduction is great and I do have a big pile of unneeded accessories from all of my previous Noctua purchases, but I don't have any spare corners. You took it a little too far. Add a few black corners to this product You could even increase the price by a couple of bucks; that would be fine by me. But don't leave me feeling scammed. If you keep doing this, it will ruin my brand loyalty.

Very nice quality fan by Noctua. Currently utilizing this as an exhaust fan which replaced an old 5-year-old fan and the difference is substantial. I immediately noticed that it was effectively exhausting the hot air out of my PC. The decently long 4-pin connector made it very easy to redirect my cables for some clean cable management as well. It’s also been significantly quieter than my previous fan which I’m certainly loving.

I tried out fans from Arctic and Be Quiet (Pure Wings 3), but I returned them all and kept only the Noctua. The Noctua is of far superior quality; there is minimal vibration at maximum speed and no faint bearing friction noise—it is completely silent, producing only the sound of moving air. I tested them by holding them in my hand, changing their orientation, and listening closely right next to my ear; they remained silent in every position. My only complaint is the lack of rubber pads; I wonder how much those four pieces of rubber cost—why did Noctua skimp on that? The most impressive aspect is the consistent quality of the fans; with other brands, some run quieter while others vibrate more, but with Noctua, every single one is equally quiet.

The fan I received was original with full noctua packaging, and it worked as expected from Noctua quality, giving strong airflow. Only downside in my opinion is at the time I was buying price was very expensive.
