Promixx 2.0: The Original Vortex Mixer. World's most advanced protein shaker - BLUE

Pretty awesome mixer. I only use it for protein shakes (not scrambling eggs, as the insert suggests), but it does an amazing job of creating a smooth and blended drink. It's not totally silent, but it's quieter than I expected, and MUCH quieter than those metal whisking balls. I mostly use it to mix up a drink for lunch at the office. It's nice to have that option now, whereas before I looked like a P90X guy walking around shaking my arm vigorously (nothing wrong with P90X, but I work in a somewhat conservative professional setting, so that tended to be a bit out of place). I've used it for about 2 weeks now without charging, and still going strong. I only leave it on for 10 or so seconds, and then everything is all stirred up well. What would make me give this 7 stars? The powdered mix storage holder. It suits my needs well, but I use it for water as well as for the shake. The storage holder is built into the top where you drink out of, and sits under the lid. So if the storage holder is on the cup, you can't drink out of it at all. It seems like creating the same storage holder except slightly smaller to allow for water to flow past wouldn't have been super difficult. That way, you could store your dry mix and drink regular water until you're ready to mixx away. As it stands, you have to bring the powder storage separately (it comes with a separate lid, so this isn't a problem). Maybe the best thing? It's so leakproof. I've had many bottles that claim to be leak proof, and granted I haven't abused this one too much, but it's been in my bag with my laptop and work papers upside down and I've had no leakage. That's not to say that if it was jostled around too much the stopper wouldn't come undone, but so far it's been pretty spectacular. A good buy, and I'd buy again.

I bought this so as I travel for the holidays I can keep to my diet needs (I follow a ketogenic diet). It definitely mixes protein powder & liquid together very well, no lumps, just a smooth shake. But the particular reason I bought it to is make 'Bulletproof Coffee', which is coffee and butter blended together. The PromiXX is tremendous. It truly combined the coffee & butter into an emulsion. Keeping in mind that I'm blending a hot liquid it handled that with no problem, all you need to do is to keep the sippy cover vented slightly (it lets the steam & pressure out without letting the liquid splash out and overflow) and don't fill it more than half full. I especially love that that the battery is rechargeable and that the charging cord fits into the plug for my iPhone/iPad. So I really have a minimum of accessory paraphanalia to carry. This is great item it does what says it does and then some.

I bought this to replace a BlenderBottle Sport that I have been using/tolerating for years. The main draw was to actually be able to consume thicker shakes like the Less Naked Casein without having to bring out the Vitamix and make a huge ruckus. This really excels at getting any of the powders I have used to integrate to both water and almond milk. Thus far I've thrown in two scoops of Less Nake Casein with 10 fl oz of Almond Milk and let it run for about 30-60 seconds. No foaming occurs, unlike the shaker bottle, which is awesome and lets me actually drink the protein. I've used this with Sci Labs pre-workout and whey, Athletic Greens, Naked Creatine, and everything has mixed well. One thing I've noticed with some supplements is that they will settle a little, but it is super easy to fix that by just turning the motor back on for a few seconds, and finishing your shake. Great stuff, the one improvement I would make if I had to nit pick is that I'd love the volume labels to be a bit bigger and with numerical labels for each, I find myself having to count up to where I want and placing my thumb there so I don't over fill. Also a max fill line or guidance would be an awesome simple add. Nothing crazy, and certainly doesn't stop this from being a great investment.

I am giving the Promixx bottle a 1 star review because of my experience with customer service, rather than the product itself. However, I think customer service is equally important. I received the bottle on time, and it initially worked well. The vortex seemed strong and blended my protein shakes perfectly. However, after 1-2 months of use, the rubber gasket O-ring that seals the lid broke, and I had problems with the lid leaking on every use. This essentially made the product unusable for me. After a few minor leakage incidents, the bottle spilled a huge amount of protein shake on my suit during an airplane flight, and I had to stop using it completely. Promixx advertises a "Leak Proof Guarantee" on their website. I had attempted to contact them regarding the broken rubber gasket and leaking lid. I requested a replacement rubber gasket from them, however I did not receive any response from the company. I emailed them 2 more times (for a total of 3 times) requesting a simple rubber gasket, that surely would have been cheap for them to send out. I did not request a replacement product or a return or anything, just a rubber gasket. I was overall satisfied with the product itself, if I could fix the leaking issue. I never heard back from them after my extensive attempts at contacting the company directly through their website. This seemed like a very poor response, especially given their "Leak Proof Guarantee". They clearly do not stand behind their product. That being said, the bottle works well when it works. I don't know if I got one with a defective rubber gasket, since according to other reviews very few have had problems with leaking. But be warned that if you get one from a bad batch, the company will not be there to help, even for something as cheap as a replacement rubber O-ring.

excellent product. high quality plastic which cleans easily, and looks nice. battery life is good, lasts me about 2 weeks (2 shakes a day) before recharge, and most importantly it really does mix shakes well. my powder is really bad at mixing and was a nightmare to shake by hand so this really is a time saver. well worth the money. Only thing i will say is that it could just be slightly bigger, my shakes are meant to be 750 ml and this is only 600. Also comes with USB charger cable but no USB charger socket, i already had some from old phones however. other than that 5/5

While I admire the companies efforts in making the 'perfect' protein mixer, there are a couple of things that mean this probably isn't really worth the money. To give it it's dues, it does a pretty good job of mixing my shakes and the quality plastic is a doddle to clean. I do find the drinking hole is too small so it isn't the easiest to drink out of, especially is you are drinking particularly thick shakes. Secondly, the charging port is some random, proprietary type charging connecting, so I have yet another cable lying around for charging only this; surely it would make sense to use the industry standard USB to charging? Finally, it is a little on the small side; if you use the enclosed dry storage then you are somewhat limited to the size of your shake. All in all not a bad effort, but needs a little refinement to earn 5 stars. If you don't think the above will annoy you at all then crack on, you shouldnt be disappointed! ** UPDATE** I have had to downgrade my original 3* review, as this product has decided to just not work. It was working fine but battery was running flat so put it on the charger. The electric motor now fails to run at all. The red light came on saying it was charging, I have a green light saying it is charged (when plugged in) but it doesn't come on at all. I now have an incredibly expensive hand shaker!

works very well on protein powder drinks and teh modular design is great to wash without damaging the motor and to carry your unmixed powder. I had 3 other vortex type machines before one was weak, the second didnt work as its hard NOT TOGET THE MOTOR wet when washing (not detachable) and the third one was OK but didnt have USB rechargable battery or the container for teh powder. this is just brilliant deisgn and practicality. Its great for busienss trips too i took it for a few trips for 3-4 days and it allowed me to use EAS MYOPLEX meal replacements int eh airports adn hotels and help me NTO GAIN WEIGHT through binge eating in travel mode. AN AWESOME compliment if you want to do150-200gr of protein a day and you're travelling for 2-4 days on the road is "GOSTAK" travel containers.

Great idea and does the job when it works. Unfortunately I have had two of the rechargeable motor units and both have failed. I have decided to give up and go back to the hand shaker.
