It's hard to know if these are exactly the reason why I no longer have the issues I was having, but I know for certain that before I started using this stuff I was having those issues and since using them, I do not. Several years ago out of nowhere I started experiencing a lot of dry and itchiness in that special zone. I went to a doctor who told me "yeast infection" and put me on the pack, as well as gave me some other meds to fix it. Seemed to work, but it wasn't too long before it was back. Tried some other things over the counter, made sure I was wearing cotton underwear, started using olive oil (per gyno recommendations) to help it not be so dry, went on another pack for infection, etc, etc, etc. It all seemed never ending and I thought maybe it's extremely early menopause or some weird hormonal thing. Finally, after trying all these options my gyno told me to try Boric Acid, she said a friend had experienced similar symptoms and these worked. As slightly annoyed as I was that she didn't tell me sooner I was also just really skeptical. I bought them though and gave them a go for 14 nights in a row for the first use. I wanted to really try and flush any toxins out. From there I went off for a little while and I think I only did it after my period for 3 days in a row. Fast forward to almost 2 years later and I feel much better. I have noticed that the feeling does return about a week or two before my period, but it no where near as bad, nor does it last. I am sure that has to do with a hormonal imbalance because of the time it happens, but I use these after sex or my period and they work great at keeping me regular. I remember a customer review I read when purchasing that compared these to a dishwasher packet haha, pop one in and it cleans overnight, that is really quite accurate for this product, so if you are looking for something to try without a script and the hassle, I would recommend these.

My husband got a vasectomy for me, and that's awesome. But his pH is more than double what mine should be. I lived in ignorance of this for literally YEARS and struggled with recurrent yeast, thinking I was the problem. I showered after every workout, I kept myself very clean, I only wore cotton undies, I ate lots of yogurt and took probiotics, etc etc. Nothing worked and I practically owned stock in yeast medications. I didn't think to try boric acid because it's usually marketed for smells- I didn't have a smell, just the itching and burning. At my wits' end, I finally tried it out and it fixed everything. Instead of constantly battling yeast, I fixed my pH and prevented them from getting out of check in the first place. I looked it up and learned that men are way on the basic side, which creates a perfect environment for yeast and bad bacteria. Women need to stay acidic. No wonder they tell us to get pregnancy tests if we have yeast infections! Health class failed me, and many other women I know. Shoot, my doctors failed me for never taking 30 seconds to explain WHY this was happening to me. Needless to say, my marriage is happier than ever, and I'm saving money on doctor appointments and medication. I put a pill in at bed time anytime I get the slightest itch or discomfort and I haven't had to touch antifungals in a long time. This brand specifically is very good quality, it's cheaper than the bigger brands in grocery stores, and it works just as well.

So i love this product. But! Personally i used it twice a day and have been everyday for 6 months. Im basically dependent on it. It definitely works to keep the odors away and to keep the symptoms down for me but apparently im at a chronic stage in BV since I've had it for so long. I have been fighting off BV constantly for the last 7 YEARS! Everytime i would go to the gyno all they would give me was antibiotics which wrecks everything. Good AND bad bacteria. So my body now bc of that doesn't kick itself back into gear on it's own and i have to either live with the smell or just do these capsules instead. I also check once a week with my PH strips, it has gotten a little better but not what i need to be considered "normal PH level range" im not really close to it at all. (Side note wear a panty liner if you do these while going out bc it will discharge over time) Hopefully before you keep going to the gyno and have them just shove antibiotics at you bc they don't actually care, please take this product before hand. There are also supplements i take called "balance complex for women by feminine balance". So my attempts to attack it at the source AND from inside to hopefully get my body to get back to where it needs to be 🤷🏼‍♀️
