Question 1

i received this product in which the handle (black part) is inverted compared to photo. It can't move 360 degrees and gets stuck. Is this normal?

Accepted Answer

It ships like that to fit in the box you should be able to take that nut off and flip it around. Be careful about stripping it. Also in my experience the same companies products can very a bit. With the same dough I had ones that would work about 50% and other times I had ones we could hook a hand drill up to and really crank them out. Hope this helps.

Question 2

I’m having a hard time getting the dough not to stick to the metal part of the machine how do I get it to stop sticking?

Accepted Answer

Hello!
My name is Jessica, an employee at HIC Harold Import Co. Thank you for inquiring about the Fantes Cavatelli Maker Machine for Authentic Italian Pasta, The Italian Market Original Since 1906! In regards to your question, simply use the built-in clamp to secure the Cavatelli Maker to countertops (up to 1.365-inches thick). Roll out the pasta dough, cut it into strips and feed them into the machine, as directed. Turn the handle with a steady pace to form and cut the cavatelli. Cook according to recipe. Please not using too much water may cause issues with the dough. Please feel free to contact me at jpetrecca@haroldimport.com with any other questions or concerns about this product. Hope this was helpful!

Question 3

What imprint does this cutter make on the cavatellis? Lines or dots? If lines, do they run lengthwise or width wise?

Accepted Answer

Lines and go width wise. This roller is garbage though I found a better one that didn't break after 5 lbs of dough. The problem with this apparatus is that gears strip, rolers jam, and the control arm strips away from the machine.http://www.consiglioskitchenware.com/store/pc/Miss-Peppa-Cavatelli-Maker-606p1849.htmThis machine does riges and does dots

Question 4

Is this made in USA?

Accepted Answer

I just received it today. The rollers are made of plastic and it is NOT made in Italy. Made in Taiwan. Item description and pictures are false and are not the item you will receive.
