Great as an insulated pad under your inflatable mat
A useful little under-mat for most people, due to the foiled under-side, which will keep you dry plus supply a little insulation from cold ground. The bubble structure is also great if you’re sitting on it for half an hour, but I wouldn’t want to lay on it all night, even in a sleeping bag; again, great under an inflatable though (or if you’re 16 years old and could sleep on the ground with no problems anyway). As a grown-up 8.6 stone woman, I’d say that at 350g weight I can’t see you getting much sleep if this is your only pad, so for myself I’d kind regard this as more of a base-sheet for my actual ultralight inflatable. 60cm is a pretty reasonable width for this kind of mat (most of my self-inflatables are 56cm), so it’s a perfect width, and in terms of weight-for-usefulness, I’d be happy to carry the extra 350g for this amount of insulation and bump-levelling under my bed pad. The stiffness felt like it could level out uneven ground and the odd small bump, and provide a good base, but again, I wouldn’t want to rely on it on its own. It folds up reasonably compact, and you get a couple of elastic straps to keep it neatly folded. In all, a really useful single-side-waterproof pad that feels reasonably compressed and tough enough to even out the lumps…as long as you’re using it as an under-pad.
