Timex Weekender - Classic Retro Style Everyday Watch!Date: 10th November 2016Bought on May 2015, this review is based on 1 and half years of usage.The price was Rs.1499 back then, and i got it for 1245 in 'Lightning Deal'Its with a classic vintage style Beige dial and Olive nylon strap.And i got two extra straps along with it. One Grey-Orange-Grey and another one with Navy-Grey-Navy colour combo, as shown in the attached photos.I can see many got the extra straps and many didn't.I guess (in general), those who bought the watch for more than 1k has got the extra straps, and those who for less than 1k didn't.So don't panic if you didn't get the extra straps while you paid less than 1k for the watch.ABOUTClassy, Retro-style, Eye-catchy daily watch from Timex.I have a small wrist and the weekender fits perfect on it.Beige dial and the vintage style numbers makes it more attractive.You will get complimented on this watch quite often.I use it more as a dress watch than with casual wear.I have bought one Timex's leather strap and few nylon straps (5 of them) of some other manufacturer, and i switch them depending on my dressing.I prefer Timex's original straps, as the metal parts of other straps rusts too soon.PROS- Light weight.- Case is less than 10mm thick.- Best for smaller and medium sized wrists.- 30m water resistant (sweat, rain and splash proof)- INDIGLO is just awesome! (I do press the crown quite often, to see the beauty)- Easy to change the strap. You can get original Timex weekender straps or good quality NATO straps online.CONS- The strap quality is SO-SO. The nylon strap is very thin and feels very delicate, though it is not.- You can hear the ticking sound of the second hand if you are in a silent room. (not really an issue for me)- Not that suitable for bigger wrists.- You got sweaty arms? then you may have to wash the strap quite often.OVERALL- Best Classic Retro style watch in this price range.- Even after 1 and half years of intermittent usage, the outer case and the glass got no scratches at all.- Great value for money watch.If you find my review helpful, please click YES below, that would encourage me to write more reviews :)Happy Shopping !

Timex has always done a beautiful design job. This watch is yet another example of great design philosophy and fusion of technology. Design elements1. Stainless steel frame.2. 12-24 hours markings.3. Nice face font.4. Distinguished Red colored Second's Arm.5. Indiglo backlit dial.6. 30 M water resistant.7. Nato Strap.Quality1. The watch has a very fine polished stainless steel frame.2. The movement of the crown is very smooth and accurate.3. Inward movement of crown for INDIGLO backlight trigger is also very smooth.4. The backlight cannot be set to be in "ON" position like the EXPEDITION series. The crown has to be pressed inward to turn "ON" the backlight.5. NATO straps are interchangeable and the quality of the strap is very good.6. The watch's weight distribution is perfectly balanced and it doesn't feel heavy on the wrist.7. The face fonts are very well chosen and suits the round shape of the dial. The print on the face is crisp.8. The distinguished Red Second's Arm is very well-thought-of design element.9. I have noticed that Timex produces a slightly more than average movement noise in both the Weekender and Expedition series, but it is only noticeable in a very quiet room. Personally​, I like to hear the tick of the watch. It just kind of have a more analog feel to it.DeliveryFirst time the watch I received was in a bad state.1. The box was open.2. The documents were torn.3. The watch was missing the crown guard.4. The watch wasn't functional at all.Amazon should work on the quality check at the seller's end. Had it replaced. The watch that I received as a replacement didn't have any of the shortcomings as mentioned above, but it took 5 more days. Was supposed to be a gift for someone, it was good that I decided to personally check the box and the quality of the watch.

I was fascinated with Indiglo feature during my college days, but couldn't buy due to money constraints. Now I'm earning and I felt like fulfilling my desire to own one. Price on Amazon was Rs.1,495 in July 2015. I placed order on 12 July 2015 and Amazon.in delivered promptly on Wednesday 15 July 2015. I received the watch within proper package and there were no physical damages or scratches either. Along with the watch I received 2 additional straps, which I can use to match my shirt colour. But I haven't used them as of now and kept them for future use. Strap is on lighter shade of Olive colour looks great but delicate, requires careful handling. Indiglo feature is great when dark, my children enjoy looking at the bright radium colour on dial. Big and clear font used to print numbers on beige dial with Black Ink gives a please look for watch. Red coloured second hand makes dial further attractive. Hats-off to the designer who designed it and the Engineer who made it. Thanks to Amazon as the price was affordable.

I bought this piece on discount and it's worth more than the price it's sold at.Pros:1. SS body is extremely durable. You can use it everyday and you won't regret. Also the SS coating looks like it can last for a century.2. Inherently, Nylon is strong and there is no need to worry about breakage or wearing out of the strap.3. Indiglo is superb. I really wonder how the light splashes so evenly in the background.Cons:1. Though the nylon straps are strong, the quality of holes punched into it is not satisfactory.2. No dates. you might have to reach out to your mobile for that.3. Straps get dirty in time. And if you are sweaty, you might need to wash your straps regularly (for various reasons, you can guess)4. Though the straps are replaceable, the availability of good straps (I mean, from the OEM) is a problem. I might have to run to other (Chinese) manufacturers if you don't wish to wear vibrantly coloured straps available on Amazon.Overall verdict. I would go for it any day.

Timex has some unique watches which are affordable, aestheticlly nice and have classic look. We are an artist couple so we like clear, classic yet contemporary looks.This watch I purschased after I purchased one for my wife as a Diwali gift. Weekender range has all unisex watches. From a typical Indian perspective, the strap colour might look little feminine to some. But it is not...it is just that we are not used to such lovely pastel colours for men. Thanks Timex for getting new and better and not so stereotype things to typical India.Compared to the strap, the weight of the watch is much higher. One can feel that while putting it on. Feel of the strap was better than expected, since the material is nylon. I need to check how I feel when I am in sun. The loops are good and it fits on the wrist as it should. Still I can feel little weight of the dial as compared to the supporting strap.Overall a very nice gift for someone who likes to view time and not the stupid design on the dial. It is not for someone who likes complicated interface of any kind. This is meant for special people who live using their own heads rather than swim with the flow.

Reviewing after using it for more than a month.I purchased this from Softek Surya for 650 rs.The watch has a case diameter of 38mm and case thickness is roughly 10mm, so it's not really a thick watch.When I was opening the box, I didn't expect much as the box and the whole packing was just ok, but when I wore the watch it looked more like a 2000-3000rs watch. The numbers on the watch are easy to read with classic black & red hands.For the strap I picked the olive color. I have pretty thin wrist but the watches fits perfectly. Although the strap provided by Timex could have been of better quality and finish but at this price, I really shouldn't complain. It also has an indigo light, which to some might sound cheap but is very helpful at times.One of the negative things about this watch is that the ticking of the seconds hand is quite loud. In a complete silent room, you will hear it ticking if you focus a little. I couldn't sleep while wearing the watch. To an average person, it generally won't be much of an issue.Buy this watch if you want a watch for casual wear, it's not at all for formal use. The watch is a perfect option for college students with its interchangeable bands.

The watch is a great no frills, clean face, gets the job done time piece. The canvas strap is comfortable to wear all day and very breathable. The watch quality is decent compared to what you pay for it ( I paid about 1k). The glass already has some minor, but not very noticeable scratches after 3 months. It is not a watch you will cherish or keep for a very long time. I think it should survive for 3-4 years. But the strap will wear much earlier than that. I think the band needs washing every 2-3 months, and will need to replaced every year. ( assuming you want to keep it presentable). Overall I am satisfied with the purchase, and it does the job of a basic watch perfectly well.

It came in a damaged paper box with no extra strap plus it was light weight unlike other Timax watches. The person I gifted this watch straight away said it’s fake. Also the return policy is bad that is why we couldn’t even return it

Esse relógio é feito para olhar a hora, é isso que vc deve esperar e é isso que ele vai te entregar. Obviamente.Comprei esse relógio pois precisava de uma pulseira de Nylon devido a alergias com outros tipos de pulseiras de plástico e metal, e pq elas viviam quebrando. Logo, esse relógio caiu como uma luva, não só a pulseira era de nylon, como era facilmente trocável. A luz noturna dele é excelente, não é uma granada de luz na madrugada que ilumina todo o quarto (tipo Casio), e te deixa ver nitidamente os ponteiros e marcações. Além de ser um relógio super estiloso e discreto.Pontos negativos, pq nada nesse mundo é perfeito. Ele tem um tic-tac que pode incomodar algumas pessoas mais sensiveis a sons, não é o meu caso, até acho gostosinho, mas é o caso da minha namorada que se incomoda demais com ele a noite. A cada 2 semanas mais ou menos eu tenho que ajustar o horário pq ele atrasa levemente, coisa de 1 ou 2 minutos, mas me incomoda. E como eu tenho pulso superfino sobra muita pulseira, e tenho q dobrar ela no final, mas isso é pq meu pulso é um graveto.Em conclusão, um relógio absolutamente fenomenal, uso diariamente, e a Timex se tornou minha fabricante de relógios favorita. Tanto pelo preço acessível de modelos como esse, como a qualidade que ele entregou. Super recomendo, tanto convenci 1 amigo que gostou do relógio a comprar.9.5/10 - Meu próximo relógio vai ser Timex

Un reloj de campo que se ha colado en mi colección por méritos propios. Vale que su cristal es mineral, la caja es de aleación y en momentos muy determinados de silencio puede que percibas el sonido del mecanismo, pero no es nada que te quite el sueño o sea turbadora mi ningún dramatismo de los que leo en alguna reseña que otra. A cambio tienes un reloj elegante, con un toque vintage bien fabricado que con un simple cambio de correa pasa de ser un reloj de campo a un reloj con un tono formal, que puedes usar en todo momento sin ningún complejo y que si vienen mal dadas y se rompe tampoco será el drama del día y si lo has tenido, créeme lo volverás a tener. Curiosamente considero que el más exitoso de los relojes timex es sin duda el que empieza en la base de su catálogo.

Super montre, livraison un peu longue, mais heureux de mon achat.
