Timex Weekender - Classic Retro Style Everyday Watch! Date: 10th November 2016 Bought on May 2015, this review is based on 1 and half years of usage. The price was Rs.1499 back then, and i got it for 1245 in 'Lightning Deal' Its with a classic vintage style Beige dial and Olive nylon strap. And i got two extra straps along with it. One Grey-Orange-Grey and another one with Navy-Grey-Navy colour combo, as shown in the attached photos. I can see many got the extra straps and many didn't. I guess (in general), those who bought the watch for more than 1k has got the extra straps, and those who for less than 1k didn't. So don't panic if you didn't get the extra straps while you paid less than 1k for the watch. ABOUT Classy, Retro-style, Eye-catchy daily watch from Timex. I have a small wrist and the weekender fits perfect on it. Beige dial and the vintage style numbers makes it more attractive. You will get complimented on this watch quite often. I use it more as a dress watch than with casual wear. I have bought one Timex's leather strap and few nylon straps (5 of them) of some other manufacturer, and i switch them depending on my dressing. I prefer Timex's original straps, as the metal parts of other straps rusts too soon. PROS - Light weight. - Case is less than 10mm thick. - Best for smaller and medium sized wrists. - 30m water resistant (sweat, rain and splash proof) - INDIGLO is just awesome! (I do press the crown quite often, to see the beauty) - Easy to change the strap. You can get original Timex weekender straps or good quality NATO straps online. CONS - The strap quality is SO-SO. The nylon strap is very thin and feels very delicate, though it is not. - You can hear the ticking sound of the second hand if you are in a silent room. (not really an issue for me) - Not that suitable for bigger wrists. - You got sweaty arms? then you may have to wash the strap quite often. OVERALL - Best Classic Retro style watch in this price range. - Even after 1 and half years of intermittent usage, the outer case and the glass got no scratches at all. - Great value for money watch. Timex has always done a beautiful design job. This watch is yet another example of great design philosophy and fusion of technology. Design elements 1. Stainless steel frame. 2. 12-24 hours markings. 3. Nice face font. 4. Distinguished Red colored Second's Arm. 5. Indiglo backlit dial. 6. 30 M water resistant. 7. Nato Strap. Quality 1. The watch has a very fine polished stainless steel frame. 2. The movement of the crown is very smooth and accurate. 3. Inward movement of crown for INDIGLO backlight trigger is also very smooth. 4. The backlight cannot be set to be in "ON" position like the EXPEDITION series. The crown has to be pressed inward to turn "ON" the backlight. 5. NATO straps are interchangeable and the quality of the strap is very good. 6. The watch's weight distribution is perfectly balanced and it doesn't feel heavy on the wrist. 7. The face fonts are very well chosen and suits the round shape of the dial. The print on the face is crisp. 8. The distinguished Red Second's Arm is very well-thought-of design element. 9. I have noticed that Timex produces a slightly more than average movement noise in both the Weekender and Expedition series, but it is only noticeable in a very quiet room. Personally​, I like to hear the tick of the watch. It just kind of have a more analog feel to it. Delivery First time the watch I received was in a bad state. 1. The box was open. 2. The documents were torn. 3. The watch was missing the crown guard. 4. The watch wasn't functional at all. Amazon should work on the quality check at the seller's end. Had it replaced. The watch that I received as a replacement didn't have any of the shortcomings as mentioned above, but it took 5 more days. Was supposed to be a gift for someone, it was good that I decided to personally check the box and the quality of the watch.

Awesomneeeee watch. i am a very creative person and like to do different things. i ordered 2 watch from amazon summer sale with black dial and white dial . i got this for very reasonable price and am very happy with this deal. best thing about this deal is that i got 2 extra strap with each watch , this was not mentioned in the offer. its a dual treat for me. In total i have 2 watch with black and white dial and 6 straps to make the best combinations with my style. only thing that disturbs me is thin strap. Timex would have made nylon strap thicker to add its quality and brand look. i suggest this timex weekender to all minimalist design lover and those who believe that watch is meant for Time.

Timex has some unique watches which are affordable, aestheticlly nice and have classic look. We are an artist couple so we like clear, classic yet contemporary looks. This watch I purschased after I purchased one for my wife as a Diwali gift. Weekender range has all unisex watches. From a typical Indian perspective, the strap colour might look little feminine to some. But it is not...it is just that we are not used to such lovely pastel colours for men. Thanks Timex for getting new and better and not so stereotype things to typical India. Compared to the strap, the weight of the watch is much higher. One can feel that while putting it on. Feel of the strap was better than expected, since the material is nylon. I need to check how I feel when I am in sun. The loops are good and it fits on the wrist as it should. Still I can feel little weight of the dial as compared to the supporting strap. Overall a very nice gift for someone who likes to view time and not the stupid design on the dial. It is not for someone who likes complicated interface of any kind. This is meant for special people who live using their own heads rather than swim with the flow.

I bought this piece on discount and it's worth more than the price it's sold at. Pros: 1. SS body is extremely durable. You can use it everyday and you won't regret. Also the SS coating looks like it can last for a century. 2. Inherently, Nylon is strong and there is no need to worry about breakage or wearing out of the strap. 3. Indiglo is superb. I really wonder how the light splashes so evenly in the background. Cons: 1. Though the nylon straps are strong, the quality of holes punched into it is not satisfactory. 2. No dates. you might have to reach out to your mobile for that. 3. Straps get dirty in time. And if you are sweaty, you might need to wash your straps regularly (for various reasons, you can guess) 4. Though the straps are replaceable, the availability of good straps (I mean, from the OEM) is a problem. I might have to run to other (Chinese) manufacturers if you don't wish to wear vibrantly coloured straps available on Amazon. Overall verdict. I would go for it any day.

It came in a damaged paper box with no extra strap plus it was light weight unlike other Timax watches. The person I gifted this watch straight away said it’s fake. Also the return policy is bad that is why we couldn’t even return it

I just love this classic design. I bought the olive version thinking it would suit me well and I was right. It suits me perfectly. I was in a dilemma with the red/white one, the blue/gray one and this one. But finally decided to go with this one because it looks more sophisticated than the other two. I have bought other watches before but this is really my best buy so far. I'm in love with it. And I got two additional straps to boot, a blue/gray one and an orange/gray one. The straps are comfortable to wear. The gray/orange strap I got is a little shorter than the other two. I guess they sent it keeping in mind different wrist sizes, which is good. The tick-tock sound the watch makes is hardly noticeable. The straps look good and are comfortable to wear but they have to be handled with care or else may fray and get worn out. I didn't take my watch protector off and intend to use it with the protector on for the time being. No watch that I have seen until now can beat this design in this price range. So, if you are contemplating buying it, I'd say go for it!

I have a thin wrist so had to take a 38mm watch and most of the other watch does not fit me well. Its a good watch overall but Indian resellers takes too much of margin. Its very expensive in India, Instead you could order the same from US which will be less then half the price. I don't trust the label price (its actually less then $35 in US) which was quoted to be 27K INR.
