Disney Frozen Elsa Dress

We got this dress about a month before Halloween and put it up thinking it would not last if I let her wear it before.....after she talked me into it I got the dress out for her the week before and it has held up just fine. It is made better than the dress up costumes we have picked up before. It is now 4 days after Halloween and she is still wearing the dress at least a couple times a day! She Loves Its!

This dress is okay for a dress-up dress but I would have been disappointed if I bought it for halloween. I bought it for my daughter's frozen birthday party and it was way too big on her - she's a 3 year old but she wears a size 4 in dresses and shirts. It does say 4-6x so I had planned a backup outfit and I didn't dock it any stars for that - it's just something to keep in mind depending on the age child you're buying it for. I docked the stars for the quality/construction. It feels cheaply made but also the material is very scratchy. For a few minutes of dress up this is okay, but if she was going to wear for more than 20 minutes or so I would want her to wear a long sleeve t shirt underneath so that it doesn't irritate her skin. Also the silver finishing material for the collar and down the back where the velcro is feels very cheap and is already starting to pull away. Finally it is very wrinkly and I don't believe it can be ironed and hanging hasn't helped the wrinkles - they seem set in. Bottom line is if you want this for dress up play for very short periods and are okay with only getting maybe 4-5 uses out before you need to fix something - and the list price is less than ten dollars - then it's probably a decent value. Otherwise, I'd try a different dress.

Ripped as soon as she took off the tags. I ended up sewing it back together which is what you see in the first photo. This was suppose to be for my daughters birthday party I ended up buying her something directly from the Disney store that was actually cheaper and made better.

In the picture they had when i bought it, it looked like the sleeves were like white cotton or something as it is not very clearly seen but no they are the same netting type material as the snowflake part of the dress. The netting is VERY SCRATCHY and the glitter comes off everywhere. I would not recommend this at all. My daughter was really excited for it but no she doesn't wanna wear it because it bothers her since being so scratcy. Now I believe they have changed the picture to a girl actually wearing it so you can see the sleeve being made of the netting type material but would have been nice to have seen that more clearly as I would have not bought it have I known. I don't believe it is that good of a quality for the price as you can get a nice silky or cotton pajama dress with frozen characters for the same price which I have since down since this is only been worn 2 times.

My daughter loves Frozen and had been asking for an Elsa dress for days. I was unsure of this one because some reviews said that it's itchy, etc. However, my daughter wanted it so badly that my husband told me to order it for her. I'm so glad that I did! When it arrived, she had to put it on immediately! She has worn it every day since it came in. I don't think it is washable, but I'm not sure. I'm not going to risk washing it. Keep in mind it is just a costume, not an actual dress, so it is of costume material. People who have left bad reviews seemed to have thought it was a piece of actual clothing. It is like the princess dresses they sell in Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. Great purchase and price!

My daughter loves dressing up as Elsa. We bought a different Elsa dress 8 months prior, and my daughter wore it every day and wore it out. We got this one to replace it on her 4th birthday. Unfortunately, this one was a total waste of money. She wears a size 5-6. We got the 4-6x, but it was so snug we could barely get it on. It's very short - just barely pass her knees. She likes floor length dresses (or at least ankle length). It's very cheap material and has already ripped even though she's only worn it maybe three times. The worst part is the material is incredibly stiff and itchy. My daughter won't wear it anymore. She's gone back to wearing the old, worn out one, which is MUCH better made and more comfortable. It's the Butterfly Craze Girls Snow Queen Costume Snow Princess Dress. I will be getting another one of those for my little princess.

Soooooooooooo disappointed! I ordered this for my daughter for her birthday. In all the pre-party craziness, I did not carefully inspect the product when it arrived. Not only are all the comments about the fabric being itchy spot on, but on the particular dress we received, the snowflakes around the bottom were all wrinkled up and stuck to each other and one side of the dress at the bottom has a rip in it about 6 inches long. Now, it's a couple of days past the expiration window to return it so I'm stuck with this horrible dress. Don't waste your money on this one!***Update*** I would like to note that Amazon did make this right and allowed the dress to be returned. Thank you Amazon for doing the right thing. I am, however, leaving my review at 1 star for the item's quality, certainly not the customer service, which is 5 star for sure!

This is a cute dress, but very poorly made. It fits my 3 year old very well (she wears 4T). But after a week of wearing this (albeit, a lot), I had to put this thing on my sewing machine. The elastic along the lower back was coming undone and the were 2 runs in the fabric along the back fabric. I also noticed the stitching in the armpits along the tulle was coming loose because they didn't close off any of the stitches. I restitched this before it unraveled. There were also stitching hole mistakes along the bottom edge (which is just surgered, not hemmed) so I hemmed the bottom. There were quite a few uncut threads I had to clean up and I notice that the stitching on the velcro is coming unraveled, too. Looks like I'll have to do a lot of ongoing maintenance on my sewing machine to make this dress last any length of time. Fine, if you are into "fast fashion", but very disappointing since this was the big Santa gift and it's very poor quality. I guess you get what you pay for.

This Elsa dress came on a Disney Frozen hanger that said the manufacturer was Jakks Pacific. Though it wasn't mentioned in the product description on the Seller's page, it is a Size 4-6X dress. The sleeves and part of the skirt are made of a crisp sparkly tulle with unfinished edges. The sleeves can feel a bit itchy and are more delicate (easily torn) because it's made of tulle. However, my 5 year old did not complain about it being itchy, as she wears a white t-shirt underneath. She is also aware that she needs to be careful when removing the dress, so it doesn't rip. The fabric used for the dress is 100% polyester.The Elsa brooch that came with the dress has a drawing of Elsa that resembles the Disney reading books -- and not the animated movie version of her.The top velcro fastener on the back, used for closing up the dress was only partially attached, when we received it. It looks like a few stitches came out of the tulle mesh. I intend on just reinforcing it with some fabric glue later.We've had it for 5 days now. She only wears it for no more than an hour at a time, when she wants to pretend to be a princess. Overall, my daughter loves the dress and so it serves its purpose.My younger daughter has a different Disney authorized Elsa costume dress by Amscan, which I bought earlier in a party store. This one seems to be better made and has more detailing (silver sequins and shiny snowflake-patterned fabric). The fabric is made of polyester and spandex. The sleeves are a bit stretchy and definitely softer. The Elsa brooch on the Amscan dress has the movie version of Elsa pictured on it.Both Elsa costume dresses I bought are probably not as high quality as the one in the Disney Store but the prices were certainly not the same either. My daughters appear to be happy with their dresses.
