This drone was really cool and fun to watch especially in a dark room. However, it lasted one week and will no longer hold a charge. It's too bad because when it worked it work really well. I ordered two, one of them was a gift - have not hear if that one is still working or not working. I cannot recommend. Updated 3/25/24. The seller reached out to me after reading my review and offered to replace the drone that lasted only one week. The new one arrived quickly and so far no issues. The seller sent another item at no charge for us to try. I was pleased with the seller response - keeping me informed of when the replacement was sent and double checked to be sure in fact did receive it. They even sent me a hand written note. I appreciate that they stand behind the products they sell and would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future.

My son fell in love with this toy when we visited his cousin's house, so we HAD to get one for him. Unfortunately, the original drone that we got stopped working after one use. I reached out to the company with pretty low expectations since the drone was so inexpensive, but they were SO RESPONSIVE. I got a response email within a few hours with some troubleshooting tips that did not work. When I responded again, they told me that they would be happy to send a replacement, which they did in remarkably quick fashion. My three year-old son LOVES this toy, which he refers to as his "flyer". It is very easy to use and I find it very safe to use in a variety of spaces in our house, both big and small. There are lights on the top that create cool patterns on the ceiling when the drone gets high enough. The only knock on the drone is that the battery runs out fairly quickly (around 7-8 minutes) and takes some time to fully recharge (~an hour). But given the very reasonable price point (we paid $25), this felt like a very fair trade-off. Honestly, I would recommend any products from Force1RC because their customer service is amazing and responsive. I feel like companies have gotten significantly less responsive, so Force1RC's support was a breath of fresh air.

So my 6 year old son has been enamored with drones for awhile. We have picked up a few cheap ones over the last few months. The first one we got disappeared over the fence within 5 minutes of bringing it home. Oops. The next one broke all its spare propellers in the first day and refused to fly properly after that. The next one we got had protection around the propellers but was still a bit complicated to maneuver with its remote and the battery never seemed to last very long. And then came SCOOT. I picked up two of these for both my 6yo son & 4yo daughter. I stashed them away for Christmas and hoped they would be as cool as they looked in the promotional videos. OH MY GOSSSSHHHHH, they totally were!!! Both kids were occupied with them for hours. The battery life was decent for a drone and charge time was super fast. I LOVE how the whole drone is contained within a little "cage" that fully protects the propellers from getting damaged. My son thought it was fun to crash his over and over again--but the little thing took the beating like a champ and kept on going. I like that the plastic "gives" a little so that it tends to absorb bumps and falls without being damaged. The paint seems to be pretty sturdy also and has not chipped at all. My daughter was more careful with her drone and it flies just as well as her brothers. Her drone, however, has a habit of coming apart on occasion. The top half of the drone attaches to the bottom with little teeth. It's not a big deal to fix - just a little super glue or tape is enough to keep the 2 halves together. My only complaint is that they are a bit loud. I know that most drones, minus the $$$$ professional ones, tend to have a bit of a buzz to them. I didn't mind it at first but after a long stressful day I had to tell the kids to put them away because the sound was giving me a headache. The noise, however, is definitely not something that would prevent me from purchasing one of these in the future... it's simply par for the course with entry-level drones and it is a worthwhile compromise for as awesome as these little things are!! I would totally give this 5 solid stars if it were a bit quieter and if my daughter's drone cage didn't come apart so easily. I'm still confident giving this two very enthusiastic thumbs up and HIGHLY recommend it for younger kids. My 4 & 6 year olds had no trouble figuring them out. What a cool concept!!

I wrote a review for the first one I bought it was a great little toy until it broke 3 days later. So I thought maybe it was when my grandson went to put his hand under it and his finger went in between the holes (btw if you are getting for little ones watch their fingers it really hurts when your finger gets in there) anyway so I got another one because even the adults played with it. After the second one arrived we charged it and they played with it for about a half hour. Then the next time turned it on tossed it in the air and it went to the floor nothing but the lights worked on it. So out of two Hoovers we got maybe 4 hours of entertainment out of them total. It would be a great toy if it lasted more than 3 days. And I’m not one to return things I do not have the time to find something to put it in then look for somewhere who will ship it back. I buy online because I literally work all the time and if not working I like to spend time with the family. I do not like giving bad ratings but I also would want someone to take five minutes out of their day to let me know if something does not work properly. People work to hard to waste money on something they cannot use. I hope this review helped at least one person.

It was a little difficult to calibrate and the instruction pamphlet that came with the Scoot was difficult to read and understand. The print was so small I had to use a magnifying glass to read. I finally had to go to YouTube and a chat with the manufacturer for help. Afterwards it worked great, but as of this writing it no longer works as it did. It won’t calibrate and it bounces off the floor. Based on my experience once it flys like the demo shows it is fun, but don’t expect it to last for a long time. I guess mine lasted about 4 months. I’ll probably buy another one sometime in the future as maybe the bugs will be worked out then. It is neat and fun while it lasts. I hope this helps.

Oh boy, my six-year-old great grandson absolutely love love loves this toy. It works great. I’m buying two more one for his mom and one for his dad and they’ll play with it in the living room. It’s so fun.

This thing randomly crashes on the ceiling inside, don't trust it near anything fragile. It flew away above the 75' trees outside, was recovered in a neighbors yard quite a ways away days later. You never know what it's going to do.
