I installed a 4 inch suspension lift on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It was a budget lift kit and the instructions said to drill another hole in the track bar bracket and reuse the stock track bar. I'm not a fan of drilling holes in load bearing brackets if I can avoid it. This adjustable Rough Country Track Bar was a perfect addition to my budget lift kit and, very importantly, allowed additional fine adjustments to ensure that each wheel is equally spaced from the springs and centered under the truck. I'm a casual Sunday trail runner, with most time being spent on city streets, so I didn't need a more expensive solution and this Rough Country Track Bar was a good price point and a good solution for me.

I have to give it five stars because it is adjustable and it does work. I wish it was adjustable while fully installed. In order to adjust it after it's been installed is to uninstall it and adjust then try it again. You have to remove it from the frame attachment, removing the axle end does not work, it' can't rotate around. this makes me nervous to mess up the boot on the ball joint so I avoid it if possible. Sooo, it works as advertised but it could be improved. Installed on my 1994 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport

While this does work on an XJ, this works better with the TJ as there is a slight forward twist specifically for the TJ. This creates an interference issue with the mounting bracket on the axle and with some aftermarket steering systems, specifically the steering damper. It would also be nicer if they had a double ended sleeve adjustment instead of the single jam nut because you’ll end up removing the tie rod end a few times to center the axle correctly. Also, I found that the jam nut likes to back out.

This is a very good quality part and fairly easy to install if you know what you’re doing. If you don’t know what you’re doing hire a mechanic.

Installed this on my jeep tj 2006. It centered my front axel and is more sturdy than the original. Easy install. Good price. I don’t do any hardcore off roading so it works for my usage

Really good track bar fir a TJ 2001.

This track bar is designed to fit only left hand drive Jeeps. The models sold in New Zealand and Australia have a reverse design for the steering and front suspension system meaning this track bar will not fit.
