Works but occasionally disconnects
The build quality feels solid and it's portable. At first, the device performed exactly as advertised, however, it stopped working on the iPhone 15 (USB-C) after a short period of use. This appeared to be an issue with the device itself possibly a loose port or another hardware quirk though it eventually started working again. It connected easily to my partner’s iPhone 13 (Lightning), but after some time, the connection dropped. A quick reboot fixed the problem, suggesting it might have been a temporary glitch in the OS rather than a fault with the device. On an iPad with a Lightning connection, it worked consistently, though there was a slight delay before the audio switched over. We also tested it on a Surface Pro 9 (USB-C), where it worked initially but later lost connection. As with the iPhone 13, rebooting restored functionality. It’s worth noting that our primary use for this device is with AUX headphones, where it performs well. I also tested it for USB-C charging connecting the iPhone 13 (Lightning) to my computer’s USB-C port via a USB-C cable and it charged without issue. However, when I attempted to connect a USB-C external monitor to the Surface Pro thriough the device, it did not work. Overall: This is a promising product that works well for AUX headphone use and USB-C charging - and for the price, I'd say it's worth it. However, I would not recommend it for connecting an external monitor. Update to my review: I noticed that the device no longer connecting is an issue with the device itself. I received several notices today that the USB C device was malfunctioning. I noticed that the device wasn't sitting snug and with small movements would disconnect and have to be reseated. The lightening connection seems to be a bit more sturdy then the USB especially when using it for my computer.
