This device is absolutely brilliant. For the price it analyses everything to do with successful gardening, especially my tomato plants where accurate watering is essential for healthy fruiting. I use it every day from seedlings to fully grown plants.

Good product. Very useful in the garden to ensure the plants are not over watered and how futile the ground is. Would buy again, does take a little getting use to the reading and understanding the reading.

I bought this Lepealu meter because I was fed up with guessing whether the tomatoes in pots were thirsty or drowning, and I fancied something a bit clearer than a little dial with a single needle. It is a six-in-one unit with two metal probes and a colour screen you can tilt, which sounds fussy on paper but is handy when you are kneeling on the path trying to read it. Using it is mostly common sense: hold the power button, push the probes into the compost deep enough to get past the dry crust, then give it a moment before you take the numbers as gospel. I mainly watch the moisture and temperature, and I use the light reading as a rough nudge about whether a corner of the patio is gloomier than I thought. Charging over USB-C is a nice touch, because I am sick of hunting for AAA batteries for garden gadgets. The body feels solid enough for normal knocking about in a trug, though I still wipe the probes off after use like the leaflet suggests. I would not call it laboratory kit, but for twenty quid or so it has already saved me from a couple of heavy-handed watering sessions.
