Mooche Door Chain Lock, Safety Chain Bolt with Spring Anti-Theft Press Lock

I favor this style over the classic bolt hole design, because it allows one to open up a crack for peering out and is less obtrusive in function and appearance. A very good value, quality item.

I have a crawlspace where one of my sump pumps are located. My cats are obsessed with going under the house and I do not want them under there. This lock makes sure that the fur babies stay where they do not belong.

Lock does it's job. Be sure to screw both sides into solid door and frame. Our first attempt we discovered the door was hollow as the screws pulled out very easily. We had to turn the door piece vertical to be on solid wood frame of the door. Also the round shortening clip bends very easily and then doesn't close again.

I’ve been using this lock for about 2 weeks now, and overall it’s very functional. I installed it on our laundry door since it was the only one without a safety device to prevent it from being opened from the outside, and it does the job well, yet, I’ve noticed a couple of issues so far... the spring press mechanism started jamming after just a few uses, and the paint got damaged pretty quickly (these two reasons is why I removed 2 stars). Aside from that, the lock works as intended and provides the extra security I was looking for.

These chain locks are great! They've been improved and have a locking mechanism incorporated in the lock!!!

Easy to install and very sturdy.

This convenient little lock fit perfectly on my odd bathroom door. I had to install it vertically. The push button feature makes it very secure.

Klein, aber macht einen riesigen Unterschied Ich wohne alleine und wollte mich einfach etwas sicherer fühlen – genau das tut diese Türkette. Schnell montiert, stabil verarbeitet und durch den extra Knopf nicht einfach zu öffnen. Genau das kleine Plus an Sicherheit, das man im Alltag merkt. Seitdem schlafe ich ruhiger.
