The best lower unit gear oil I have used
I have been boating my whole life, this is by far the best gear oil. I use this in my Johnson 115 even though this is technically made by Mercury. I seem to get less if any water intrusion into my gearcase with this oil. If there is any, the oil emulsifies the water and continues to protect the gears. I have had better luck with this than Pennzoil marine or others. Highly recommend. It is a blue color and easy to drain and fill.

Good for my boat
This gear oil goes in our old Johnson 115 that we use for weekend lake trips with the kids. I switched after seeing people rave about it online. It keeps the gears running smooth and I get almost no milky oil now, which is nice. I do wish the bottle nozzle poured cleaner because i always drip a little. The blue color makes it easy to see when I’m draining and refilling in the driveway.

Excellent product used for 18 years
I always use Quicksilver gear lube in our Penta outdrive. It never lets me down and has been doing great for 18 years.
