Trial by Fire: Sizzling Romantic Suspense (All Fired Up Series Book 2)

Rather unusual (I thought) that a second book in a series still focused on the two main characters of Nate and Erin and it really worked for me. In this book, Nate's past rears it's very ugly head as he becomes a suspect in a murder. Once again strong characters throughout and an excellent and somewhat gory storyline.

It was a good read, hard to put down It was a prelude to the Still of the Night although I did not know this at the time that I bought the book

this second book was just as good as the first although you don't have to read the first I really think you should just so you ge to know how Nate and Erin got together,all the characters are good but you gotta love Nate.

An okay read with over the top attractive alpha men and their attractive partners who are supposedly highly intelligent but always end up doing something stupid. An okay read.

Taylor Lee really knows how to write a great romantic suspense story. It keeps you on the edge of your seats the whole way through. I've loved all of your books Taylor - keep them coming!

Another well written book. Absolute page turner. Great characters and can't wait to catch more of them in next book in the series!!

Excellent book didn't want to put it down . It's got a bit of everything in it action love sex and great characters .

This book was very well written. I plan to read Taylor Lee's pass books. I loved this story line and the characters. The dialogue between the characters flows beautifully and is just fun despite the murders. It is very cool and hip. I read the first book and really enjoyed but wanted to know more about Nate and Erin's relationship as it evolved. This book does not dissappoint and although Nate can be insanely jealous and domineering it worked in this story. Men like Nate normally are not my favorite heros but I liked Nate as a man and detective and the chemistry and love between him and Erin. I thoroughly enjoy the author's style of writing and the personalities of the characters. Also like the friendship between Sam and Nate. It was too cool! I really loved this book and will add Taylor Lee to my list of favorite authors. I cannot wait for the next book in this story. I would strongly/highly recommend this book to all who are not squeamish and enjoy a realistic 2012 relationship. This is romantic suspense at its absolute best! A true winner.

Wow! What an exciting book. Could not put it down. I am in love with Nate Stryker. Hot sexual scenes, gripping action, suspenseful. What more could a reader ask for?

After reading Playing with Fire all I could say was Wow. I couldn't wait for Trial by Fire. Trial by Fire is a good story and a sexy read but it didn't keep me as engaged as Playing with Fire. The "suspense" was easily solved but the twist and turns the characters had to take still left you with the tension of wanting to know what happens next. Ms. Lee let us see a little deeper into Nate as well as let him grow. Erin on the other hand was a little stagnate. She was stood by her man but her Wonder Woman behaviors left me a little angry with her. Although this is probably the first Taylor Lee book that I haven't given 5 stars, I still cannot wait for the next installment of the All Fired Up series and other books authored by Taylor Lee.

This is a terrific book. The pacing is swift, yet there is still a feeling of homey camaraderie among the characters. I was pleased to see most of the cast from Taylor Lee's earlier work return. (I love Connor!) Nate is a sexy alpha hero with a past that gives him just enough vulnerability. He and Erin make an appealing couple you can't help rooting for. This time Nate and Erin are at a more advanced stage in their relationship. It is challenged by Nate's ex-wife Laura, who lends a nasty spice to the story when Nate is called in to investigate the ritual murder of Laura's current husband. (BTW- this book is not for the squeamish.)The police procedural aspects of this novel are thorough and detailed, as are the personal histories of the characters. Engaging, well written and sexy. Another fab suspense!

Before I started reading this, I pictured the plot, and story line. Once I read this book I was disappointed only because I wanted the window to change, and turn into a good person. I'm a sucker for happy endings. This book did have a happy ending, just not the way I had it pictured in my head before I read it. The grammar was good, and the book flowed from page to page. The detective, and ex husband to the new window was a good guy. He won over my Heart. He did his job better than most people would in that situation.
