INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL DRIVERS AS OF 04/09/2019
Hello,This is my first Amazon review, I'm not one to usually do this but after going through the abomination of an adventure to find the lost city of Adapter drivers, I found it was only necessary to pass on the knowledge I attained:Step 1:Plug in your wireless adapter. Navigate to Device Manager in Windows, and look for "XBOX ACC."Step 2:If you see "XBOX ACC" (likely with a yellow flag next to it), congratulations, you are experiencing driver issues. Right click it and go down to "Properties." A window will open, then navigate to tab "Details." Under "Property," select Hardware Ids. Two IDs should show up.Step 3:Go to https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=USB%5CVID_045E%26PID_02E6 where we will download the drivers and manually install them onto the device. One of the hardware IDs from Step 2 should have been what you now see in the search box of the Microsoft Update Catalog website (USB\VID_045E&PID_02E6). If not, search for your hardware ID there.Step 4:Download the top driver (should be "Microsoft - Other hardware - Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows"), and extract the downloaded file using any number of zip openers (WinRAR, 7zip, etc.) to a memorable folder.Step 5:Going back to Device Manager, right click "XBOX ACC" and choose "Update Driver." Select "Browse my computer for driver software." Browse for the folder that you extracted the driver to in step 4. Then choose next.Step 6:After successful driver update, unplug and replug the device into your computer. Then hold down the black button on the side, which should now start slowly blinking. Hold down the button on your Xbox One wireless controller for syncing, and the two should link up.Congratulations, you should now have working a perfectly good Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows that should have been perfectly good from the start, but where's the fun in that. Please see this guide to better assist you in any difficulties you may have:https://www.gamerevolution.com/guides/480709-xbox-acc-driver-unavailable-xbox-wireless-receiver-install-error-fix

HUGE improvement over bluetooth!
I grabbed one of these because you can't use a headset connected to the xbone controller AND have the controller connected to a PC wirelessly via Bluetooth at the same time. Headset just sits there, useless. Seems weird since they're both Microsoft devices but whatevz. Also bluetooth with the xbone controller was kindof a pain in general for me. Connection loss issues, driver issues, device would be paired but decide not to connect at all, on and on.This solved all of those problems instantly. I didn't actually realize how bad it was before until I plugged it in. It's soooo much easier: It. Just. Works. Seriously tho... Plug and play, controller accessories work and I can connect multiple controllers if I want. Controller now connects as soon as I turn it on. I couldn't be more satisfied.Note: I am a little annoyed that I needed this in the first place. Xbox controllers should have full functionality via Bluetooth or not have allowed it at all (considering how badly it works) IMO. I see that as a fault with the controller, however, NOT with this particular device.TLDR; I recommend this if you use an Xbox One controller AT ALL for PC gaming. Unless you're playing shooters- then use wasd and mouse ya noob ;)

Something fishy going on here...
I installed the product and received an error message. The message stated that the certificate or license was not valid. The name that it was suppose to be under was Microsoft, but this one had some other name and it was not a tech company. I stopped trying to get it to work because I did not want to damage my computer with a corrupted device.

Does not auto install
It works just fine, but Windows 10 does not recognize this device, makes me wonder if it's a knockoff. I had to manually install through some pretty crazy means, thanks to Reddit got it working perfectly, I'm not sure why Windows won't recognize it, so 3 stars because it does work, you just need some technical knowledge of computers, if you're not familiar with computers and the way drivers work and manually installing them, don't bother purchasing this product. None of my 3 perfectly up to date windows 10 PC's could recognize this device.

Does not work as intended or described
Spent 3 days fighting with this thing. the controller isn't the issue. This adaper will work for 3 seconds or 3 hours with no idea why or how the adaptter just shuts off. I have adjusted windows settings, steam settings, uninstalled/reinstalled rivers, nad every other "fix" to get it to work and at this point it isn't worth the trouble. I will get a different controller or adapter or something. This just doesn't work at all for me on a fairly new Windows 10 PC. DO A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING THIS. maybe you have some niche of updates and drivers that it will work. seem the majority of newer PCs don't play well with this.

Great wireless adapter but setup instructions are wrong
I absolutely love this product. The reason why I got it is because my wireless x box controllers have Bluetooth but Bluetooth cuts out all the time. Very frustrating when your controller gives out on you all the time. I went on the microsoft store and they had them for 30 dollars plus tax but they only support one controller. They were out of stock so I tried amazon. Then I seen one for 60 dollars plus tax and it supports up to 8 controllers. This is a way better deal and I jumped on it. I wasn't disappointed. I have my 2 controllers working on it perfectly. The only gripe I have with this product are the instructions how to setup the controller was totally wrong. I actually figured out how to do it myself without google or youtube so it's not too bad. If you run into trouble setting it up just youtbe it or google it though you'll find out how to do it. Better yet I'll show you go to settings/ devices/ add bluetooth device/ and select select everything else with the adapter plugged in and your controller turned on. Then your wireless controller will pop up and you can install it. Easy as pie.

Un "Must Have"
