I’ve lived with companion birds for close to 75 years. My current companion bird’s been with me 26 years. The volume scales printed on the barrel of the syringe are consistent to allow you to accurately measure the amount of medicine drawn up as a dose. Once the syringe is “load-ed” I can dispense the medicine with one hand leaving my other hand free to steady Charly’s head. The syringes are individually wrapped and are sterile during first use. I carefully wash used syringes for reuse to help save on costs. This practice is accepted by my veterinarian and consistent with what’s done in the Ornithology Department of the zoo where I volunteer. I don’t need and, therefore, don’t use the needles that come with the syringes. I bought a Sharps contain-er in which I dispose of the needles. When it’s full I bring it to the vet who accepts it for disposal. Syringes invariably cost more at shops other than Amazon. Every bit of savings is important to helping me assure quality care for Charly – and these syringes are a cost saver for me.

The rubber tip expanded in the solution, making injections impossible. The product is damaged flawed and I would not recommend for anybody injecting anything.

I needed small syringes for precise measuring, and these have worked as expected. They’re easy to handle and allow for controlled dispensing of small amounts. I use these to transfer perfume from my larger full size bottles to smaller travel size and sample size containers. They come with the metal syringe tips, but they can be unscrewed from the syringe body, then you add on the tip to draw the fragrance from the bottle. Great value pack! they come individually wrapped and are sterile for those that would use them for medical purposes.

Some of the needles are blunt and I’ve had to replace the needles because they wouldn’t pierce the skin. Caused some unnecessary pain.
