WINGBO 60 Inch Ceiling Fan without Light - 5 Carved Solid Wood Blades, 6-Speed Reversible DC Motor, Noiseless Remote Control Ceiling Fan No Light for Bedroom Living Room Kitchen, White and Oak - desertcart.com Review: Best ceiling fan - Beautiful, well balanced, a great buy! Review: Quiet, Powerful, and Genuinely Good Looking - This fan really impressed me. The 60-inch span is substantial, and once it was up and running it became clear that the size is well-justified. The airflow at even mid-level speeds is noticeable and consistent across the entire room, which is something my old 48-inch fan could never quite accomplish. The five carved solid wood blades give the fan a real presence on the ceiling. The charcoal and gray finish pairs well with both modern and rustic decor, and the clean lines without a light kit hanging below keep the whole look intentional and uncluttered. Installation was straightforward. The box includes both a 4.5-inch and a 12-inch downrod, which I appreciated because my ceilings are on the taller side and I needed the longer option to get the fan at an effective height. The instructions were clear enough for someone comfortable with basic electrical work, and everything aligned properly without any adjustments. The motor housing feels solid and does not wobble at any speed, which was a concern I had after reading reviews on cheaper fans. The DC motor is the real standout feature. I have lived with noisy ceiling fans for years and accepted the hum as part of the deal, but this fan genuinely runs near-silently. At speeds one through four you can barely tell it is on other than feeling the air movement. Even at speed six, which pushes a serious amount of air, the sound stays reasonable and blends into the background. The six distinct speed settings also give you meaningful gradations rather than the usual low-medium-high that most fans offer. The remote is compact and responsive, and setting the 1, 4, or 8 hour auto-off timer has become part of my nightly routine so I do not wake up cold. The Natural Wind mode is something I did not expect to get much use out of, but it has become my go-to setting on relaxed evenings. Rather than delivering a constant mechanical airflow, it subtly varies the speed in an irregular pattern that genuinely mimics what a gentle outdoor breeze feels like. It is a small detail that makes a real difference in how the room feels. The reversible motor function is also practical. I switched it to clockwise for the winter months and noticed a meaningful reduction in how hard my heating system had to work to keep the room at temperature. Overall this fan punches well above its price point. The design is polished, the performance is strong, the noise level is impressively low, and the thoughtful extras like the timer, Natural Wind mode, and reversible motor make it feel like a premium product. I would not hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to anyone looking for a serious upgrade to their main living space.

Good looking, contemporary fan with unique features; uncertain about solid wood claims
This is a good looking fan, no doubt about that. It’s sleek, big, simplistic, and contemporary in style. The product description very clearly states that the fan blades are made of solid wood, and usually I’m very keen on being able to tell real from fake materials, so I was a little perplexed when I received the item and was inspecting it only two get the impression that the blades were faux printed plastic. It’s possible I’m just way off base this time, but the blades felt lighter weight than Wood usually weighs and something about the pattern/coloring just seemed off compared to real wood. I suppose it’s possible that it could be made of real wood or wood composite (though that would technically no longer be solid wood), but then be painted or printed with a fake overlay (although that feels like a crime on nature and humanity to drive up the cost by using real materials and then ruin the natural beauty of it). The bottom line here is I’m unsure whether the band blades are actually made of real wood or not, so I’m not going to deduct a star for something. I can’t be certain is a deviation from the product description, but I thought I should at least voice my reservations in case others notice the same. Why does it even matter, you might ask? Besides the obvious importance of seller integrity, and the ability for consumers to trust the product they are paying for is what they’re getting, this point matters for two reasons: 1) plastic is less environmentally friendly than wood, and generally less healthy for the household inhabitants due to plasticizer chemical off-gassing and the generation of microplastics which get inadvertently ingested via dust inhalation; 2) no matter how high quality the faux veneer or printing process is, our eyes and minds are generally incredibly adept at distinguishing authentic natural materials from fake ones (even if we don’t realize it or are unable to articulate why). So even if the item looks good, you will be sacrificing some looks and “feel” (in the general ambience sense, as in the intuitively perceived but difficult to describe feel of being surrounded by cheap plastic products versus high-quality natural products) by going with an engineered or semi-engineered option instead of an all-natural real wood option. If indeed this product is made of solid wood, and these would all be benefits in favor of going with this particular fan. Some additional features of this fan that I like are its auto-off timer (1, 4, or 8 hours) to help you fall asleep initially, but not wake up cold in the middle of the night and it’s “Natural Wind mode”, which mimics the natural variability of wind outside. I am especially intrigued by this latter feature, which is a unique way to incorporate and experience biophilic design principles (the benefits of which are astonishing and largely unknown) into your home. I have personally never seen either of these features on a fan before, which really helps you set them apart in an otherwise vast sea of mostly similar options. Though likely an unpopular opinion, I’m also a huge fan (pun intended!) of fans without lights. Most “cold” artificial lights (LED and CFL) look and feel so unnatural due to their unbalanced and limited light spectrums. Additionally, the spinning of the outer fan blades distorts the light projection of an inner/centrally-located fan light source in a way that creates an artificial strobing effect; this, combined with the inherit invisible flicker of most A/C-powered artificial lightbulbs, is enough to induce a migraine in me after only a short period of time spent in a room with a lighted fan. Thus, I much prefer fans without a light, such as this one, which are becoming increasingly difficult to find. I would much prefer to have a separate, lower-to-the-ground light source like a lamp that I can control independently.

Excellent, beautiful, quiet and well made ceiling fan
Talk about a statement fan!! This beautiful and well made fan is quiet and powerful . I replaced a 48” fan with this and the cooling difference is quite noticeable . The remote functions fantastic and sure beats pulling a chain.

Silent and windy, beautiful and simple
I got this Wingbo 60 inch ceiling fan without light and five solid wood blades to replace an aging fan that was always under powered. If you've never used a 60" vs a 48" of 54" you will be surprised by how much air it moves and how quiet it is. The added blade length is noticable right away. It allows us to run the fan at lower speeds than we would traditionally need to to keep up with the heat. Airflow is very good. Very high. The solid wood blades are gorgeous. No flaws. Very sturdy. I love them compared to the synthetic or MDF blades that you can flip to choose a color. This is vastly more impressive. Install is easy. Standard ceiling fan stuff. No surprises. It's basically a straight swap. New installs will be more challenging. The remote is the only thing I don't like. They left blanks for what is the light control on our other fans. I'd prefer no blanks, but it's not a big deal. Excellent value for this big a__ fan.
