On paper it promises a wide viewing angle and flexible focus controls, but in practice the optical limitations hold it back. 🧱 Build Quality & Comfort The overall construction is plasticky but solid enough, especially considering the low £14.99 price. The head strap is comfortable, and the padding around the eyes is soft and well‑shaped. The phone mounts securely inside the front compartment, with no wobble or slipping once closed. Lightweight enough for longer sessions without neck strain. The physical design is actually one of the stronger aspects of the product. 🔍 Optics & Focus Adjustment This is where the headset falls short. Each lens has its own individual focus wheel, and there’s a central slider to adjust interpupillary distance (IPD). Even with everything set to maximum adjustment, the image remains blurred, especially with larger modern phones like the Google Pixel 10 Pro. The lenses simply don’t offer enough travel to bring the screen into sharp focus for many users. The claimed support for mild myopia doesn’t translate well in real use. Because VR relies entirely on optical clarity, this limitation makes the headset effectively unusable. 🎬 Viewing Experience When the optics don’t align, the 3D effect collapses, leaving a double‑image or soft blur. The 100° viewing angle is only meaningful if the lenses can focus properly, which they can’t in this case. The headset doesn’t require charging and works with any VR‑capable app, but the experience never reaches a comfortable or immersive level. The potential is there, but the optics prevent it from delivering. 💬 Real‑World Impressions The phone fits securely. The adjustments are present but insufficient. The build is decent for the price. But the inability to achieve a sharp image makes the whole device unusable. It’s a shame, because the comfort, design, and low cost could have made it a good budget option. ✅ Verdict A well‑priced and reasonably well‑built VR headset that’s ultimately undermined by poor optical performance. The focus range simply isn’t wide enough to bring modern smartphone screens into clarity, making the device impractical for movies or games. Despite the comfortable fit and solid construction, the lack of usable focus means it’s not a headset you can recommend.

VR Headset/3D Glasses
I requested it because I only occasionally view 3D content, so a product like this makes more sense than spending lots of money on a more technically advanced headset I might not use. It is a reasonably good-quality piece with a robust build. The front compartment is large enough to house a wide variety of phones - I was able to fit my iPhone 17 Pro Max and close the door without any issues. The door itself has a pretty secure latch. There is a nice amount of padding around the eyepieces that feels comfortable next to the skin, and the elastic headband offers good adjustability while keeping the headset in place. My only gripe with the design is the headset's lightweight build; if you put in a heavy phone (like mine), it can drag it down and make it feel slightly uncomfortable. The lenses offer a clear view of the screen, blending the left and right sides of a 3D video. I did notice some warping around the outer edges on each side, but it wasn't enough to be too distracting. Having an individual focus dial for each eyepiece really helps get the clearest view. My phone's connectivity was not affected by being inside the headset, nor was there any detrimental effect on sound quality, since the gaps in the front compartment keep the phone's speakers unblocked. In summary, a reasonably good value item that is easy to use, with a slight design tweak needed to make it perfect.
