My wife curls her hair often and was interested in trying this automatic rotating curling iron since she liked the idea of a device that rolls and curls in one simple step. Not having to manually wrap hair around a barrel was definitely appealing. First impressions were positive; the device looks and feels like decent quality, and it heats up pretty quickly. It doesn’t feel flimsy, and the quick heat-up time is convenient when you’re getting ready in a hurry. That said, there was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. It took some trial and error to figure out the best way to feed the hair into the curler. We weren’t sure at first which direction to use for rolling the hair, and she kept missing sections initially. It’s also a little hard to clearly see the buttons while you’re positioning and feeding the hair into the barrel, which added to the early confusion. What helped a lot was watching the videos on the listing page. Seeing exactly how to guide the hair into the curler and how the rotation works made a big difference. After that, things started to click. Once she got the hang of it, it actually worked very nicely. It created smooth, defined curls without much effort. Her hair isn’t very thick, so she used the lowest temperature setting, and that was more than enough to get good results without worrying about excess heat. Overall, she plans to keep using it. It does require a little patience at first while you’re figuring it out, but if you stick with it and learn the technique, it works very well and makes curling your hair much easier.
