Description
- Safety First: Always Disconnect the Battery
- Before touching any wires, disconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery. This prevents accidental short circuits and protects both you and your car's electrical system.
- Follow the Wiring Diagram Precisely
- Use the included guide to match wire colors and functions correctly. Carefully connect power (constant and ignition), ground, and speaker wires one by one, double-checking each connection.
- Ensure Solid, Insulated Connections
- Secure all wire joins using proper methods like crimp connectors or soldering. Insulate every connection thoroughly with electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing to prevent shorts and ensure reliable performance.
- Route Wires Neatly and Safely
- Run the wiring harness away from sharp metal edges, moving parts (like seat tracks), and hot surfaces. Secure loose wires with zip ties to prevent rattles, damage, or interference with vehicle controls.
- Test Fully Before Final Reassembly
- After connections are made, temporarily reconnect the battery and power on the stereo. Verify all functions—power, sound from each speaker, radio, etc.—work correctly before reassembling dashboard panels and trim.
