Shooting Tripod Undercut by Excessive Plastic Components
This tripod is marketed toward marksmen and hunters, but at the $100 price point, the material choices for the structural components are disappointing. While it offers good stability for range use, its durability in rugged terrain is questionable. The Standout: Rifle Saddle Clamp The saddle clamp that holds the rifle stock is the best element of the kit. It is constructed of high-quality aluminum with brass bearings. It provides a secure, stable grip and is easy to manipulate. The integrated ball head allows for smooth cant adjustments to ensure the scope reticle is level with the horizon. The tension knob, while plastic, is functional, though a wider diameter would improve ergonomics. The Weak Links: Plastic Structural Parts Despite the $100 retail value, several critical high-stress areas are made of plastic rather than aluminum: *Leg Locks: The flip-lever locks at the telescoping leg segments are plastic. On a tripod in this price bracket, one would expect aluminum cam or collar locks for long-term reliability. **Quick-release Arca Plate: The quick-release Arca plate connected to the top of the tripod is also plastic. In my experience, these plates are almost universally made of metal to ensure a rigid, non-marring connection; a plastic plate is a significant downgrade in quality and security. Performance and Stability The tripod is generally stable and easy to set up for a controlled range environment. However, I have concerns about how the plastic leg segments and the quick-release Arca plate will withstand repeated recoil or the rigors of hunting in rugged terrain. Verdict The high-quality aluminum saddle clamp is excellent, but the rest of the tripod feels built to a much lower price point. To justify the cost, the manufacturer should replace the plastic leg locks and the quick-release Arca plate with metal components. As it stands, it is a mixed bag that feels overpriced for the materials used.

A solid and very stable shooting platform with a ton of options and at a great price.
This is one very impressive shooting tripod, which can also be used for spotting, bird watching, and (obviously) photography. When describing this tripod the word “sturdy” is an understatement. The legs on this beast are thick and solid, which quick release locks that allow very fast adjustments to the height and for leveling on uneven surfaces. Assembly of the accessories is also fast. The first step when pulling the base of the zippered carrying case is attached of the ballhead with a single screw. Once tightened, you then utilize the quick release to attach either the adjustable rifle saddle mount, or the V yoke rest. The yoke rest requires that you first attach a quick release adapter, which then allows you to slide on and lock the V yoke rest onto the ballhead. The V yoke rest is just that, a rest, much like using a tree branch or fence post to balance and steady your rifle. If you want a much firmer mounting option, you should use the adjustable rifle saddle mount, which is basically like a vice clamp. Although I haven’t tried it yet, I’ll bet you can use this to steady a pistol when calibrating a red dot or laser sight. Otherwise, its intended purpose is to leave a rifle mounted to the tripod like a turret. There are numerous adjustment knobs and degrees of freedom to play with on the rotating ballhead. If you have some specific needs in terms of direction and level, you have a built-in compass on one leg of the tripod, a bubble level on the second leg, and an additional bubble level on the ballhead. This tripod and the machined aluminum accessories are all about attention to detail, and the entire system really seems geared to the professional---despite what I feel is a reasonable price. About 10 years ago when I got into photography and wanted a heavy-duty tripod for my digital SRL, I think I paid much more for my photography tripod---which is only about half as nice as this shooting tripod. And as I said, you can easily use this tripod for photography or anything else you need to mount. I highly recommend this.

Nice quality tripod stand
This tripod stand is very sturdy and heavy duty. It’s adjustable and comes with 2 mounts - one is adjustable and has nice pads to protect your equipment and the other is a V rest. The tripod and legs are fully adjustable including X, Y, and Z (from 29 inches to 63). There’s also a bubble level on the tripod. I’m 6’4’’ and it’s fine for me - I don’t have to bend or crouch at all to use it at its fullest height. A carrying case is included and there’s also a net that you can attach directly to the tripod for storage. I think this is a really nice tripod stand and would recommend.

Very nice
Very nice shooting tripod. Holds rifles steady and a great help for aging hunters. Solid and steady. Very reliable and stows and travels in your pack reasonably well with little added weight.
