This animated digital pin was super easy to get up and running and loaded with my custom images and videos through bluetooth. The included instructions were nice, but honestly it was super user-friendly and intuitive. The screen is crystal clear and the audio is okay, better than I expected with such a small speaker. It comes with its own charger and a large safety pin to adhere it to a surface. It is roughly the same size of my other buttons, which is impressive. It is very eye-catching and interesting.

This pin was definitely not what I was expecting. Maybe I misunderstood, maybe I should have read the description more throughly, but personally, I was disappointed. I tried to connect to my phone to transfer photos and it just wasn't working. There were instructions for an app, but by then I was impatient and over trying to figure it out. For now it will sit in its box until I feel like trying to mess with it again another day. If I am successful, I will update my review, if not, well..... my 2 stars will stick...

This electronic badge is an incredible find for anyone looking to add some customizable flair to a rave or cosplay outfit. The digital display is remarkably vibrant and the fact that it supports both custom animations and audio makes it a much more interactive accessory than a standard pin. It appears to have a very solid build with a secure pin back and a lanyard option which gives you plenty of ways to wear it during an event. The companion app makes it simple to upload personal designs but for android I did need to download an apk, which wasn't too difficult. The inclusion of different brightness levels is a smart feature for managing battery life during longer sets. While the battery might drain quickly on the highest settings the flexibility to dim the screen should help it last through most concerts or parties. It seems like a high tech and versatile gadget that offers a lot of personality for the price point especially for fans of the aesthetic.

This is a really cool idea and I think the display looks great, but the battery life does not appear to be living up to spec for me so far and the app needs improvement. From my experience, functional battery life is closer to 4 hours than the stated 8-16. I think my experience may be impacted from spending a lot of time with the bluetooth turned on because I was trying to get different images to work with the pin. It's also possible that it may improve if it's fully discharged a couple of times, but after a full charge fresh out of the box it seems to fall short. For the app, the instructions make reference to a QR code to scan, but there is no such code on the package, in the instructions, or on the pin. As an Android user, the Apple App Store availability was no help and I needed to download the APK directly from a very slow Chinese website. That took over half an hour. The app is very basic and I noticed the buttons when uploading new images have not been translated from Chinese. There is an option to generate images from a prompt, but it does not function. JPGs with a black background display a black rectangle around the images as opposed to the true black of PNGs with transparent backgrounds. There's also a problem in choosing and positioning images - it is not possible to pan left and right, only up and down. I can zoom in on images, but not out. When I have positioned an image within the preview to my liking, the image transmitted to the pin doesn't always match it. Just expect a lot of trial, error, and frustration when loading up the images if you are at all particular about how they look. The best results I have achieved are with a large hi-res image where the subject I wish to feature is centered in the image. Build quality is alright for the price. I was a little surprised that the housing is only plastic, but it does help keep the pin reasonably lightweight. A metal housing would definitely look and feel better, but would add weight. The buttons respond well, as do the touchscreen functions. Overall, I really love the potential of this pin technology, it just needs some time for the associated app to catch up.
