Will work for about a minute qnd then..
Used it for less than a minute before a weird smell started coming from the blender body and the motor locking up and intermediately would start working then repeat the same issue. Not sure if this is a bad unit or just a bad product. I'm going to return it and try a different brand I guess.

Good hand blender with some limitations
I love immersion blenders, and have used them for years. My go-to immersion blender is a big namebrand one, and it has been a workhorse for many years. I was interested to see how this EuLea one stacks up to it. First impressions are that it is well packaged, and sleek looking. It has a good wand length, so it would be practical for large pot of soup or blending in tall vessels etc. It also has a good length of cord, and is not too heavy to use. I love that the immersion part is dishwasher safe, and it went through our dishwasher with no effects. I also appreciate the plastic bumper on the blender bottom, which prevents it from scratching metal or glass or plastic dishes as you are blending. The blades also seemed very sharp. In the video, I am blending a very large batch of soaked lentils in water. It handled the actual blending task just as well as my tried and tested heavy duty blender, with a few noticeable differences. There are two buttons on the wand, one to select the speed, and the other button to start or stop the blender. I find it kind of difficult to hold the wand while pressing the on button, yet trying not to press the speed button by accident. I wish the speed button was located elsewhere. Also, according to the manual, you are not supposed to operate the blender for more than 30 seconds at a time, and then allow it to cool for three minutes in between. I find this really impractical – I basically never have to blend something that will be finished in 30 seconds. So this is an annoying limitation to me. This becomes more of a limitation because the blender ramps up to desired speed (i.e, it does not start up at speed 5 even if you set it to that. It starts slow and gears up to speed 5 over a few seconds). So if you are blending something and want to pulse it, it’s slow going. When I first started blending the soaked lentils and there was more liquid in the bottom, I found it created a very strong suction to the bottom of the bowl. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. My other blender head shape does not do this. On the flip side, it made less of a mess than my current blender when I lifted it out of the bowl. Less little bits flung around. The last thing I noticed: even when the blender shaft is locked into place, there is some up and down give in the sheath when pulling on the wand. Don’t love that. Bottom line: This immersion blender physically blends well and is powerful, but has quality and operational limitations some users may find frustrating. It’s a decent appliance, but not a premium one - I don’t think it deserves the $80 price tag.
