Big disappointment
I waited for this dress to come back in stock in my size. I saved a little out of each pay check to buy it, and so when i had enough put aside i placed the order with high hopes that it would be my favorite go-to dress. When it arrived , to my shock i noticed right offthat it was of extremely generic quality, seriously it was bad.. one time use only ,Halloween costume-ish.The skirt (red white polka dot) was totally seethrough, the bodice was made for someone withno torso, it came just under my bust.. soliterally, it looked like i had my skirt hiked up allthe way to my bust line, creating a pear shape tomy body, and making me look and feel stupid andfat.I was so upset over this dress because i do nothave much money to begin with, and i certainlycan not afford to waste hard earned money onclothes that are never going ti be worn, that isat on the edge of my bed and started to cry.I of course returned the dress, and as alwayslindys customer service reps were wonderful inhelping me return the dress, but honest to godthis dress was of really really bad quality, i would have felt a shamed to wear it on anyother daythan Halloween, and i would have been expectedto be chuckled at or stared at , if i chose to keepit, and wear it out in public. If it only cost 20 bucks with the shipping, i wouldhave expected this dress to be of such poor china-town-ish quality, but since i paid over 50 for it, iwas a shamed of lindy bop for selling it, andputting their label on such a lousy product.I have never given lindys products bad reviews, but i had to with this one, i dont want to see anyone else lose money on this dress and feel cheated and ripped off the way i did.

Be careful short top sits closer to my ribs than to my waist not good for tall people or people with long torsos.
There are good things and bad things about this dress. I love that the top is stretchy however it is not for people with long torsos as it doesn't go to the waist it sits closer to where my ribs start and no matter how much pulling I do it creeps right back up. When the shirt ends there is a "no give" waistline is the best way I can describe it. I thought the waist would have a little stretch as well since it would make sense that a stretchy top would give into a "semi give" or "semi flexible" waist but nope it goes right into the skirt that is a thinner material with no give so it rides up a lot when sitting or moving. I am constantly having to pull the top back down to my waist since the skirt part has no give or movement and is very restrictive for movement, so there will be no dancing in this dress unless I want to rip it. Other than the above stated issues the colors are exactly as the color pictured and could be a cute dress for someone with a shorter torso.

It Was Worth the Price, but I Wasn't Pleasantly Surprised
I *like* the dress, but I definitely don't love it or want to see it exclusively. The top is more of a dark navy than indigo, as I'd hoped, and as others have noted, the pleats on the dress are off center and I actually think it looks pretty strange. It looks like it needs a belt but didn't come with one. The skirt fabric wrinkles very easily, and the buttons look like they were just kind of thrown on the front of the shirt part. Basically, the fabric looks kind of cheap, but I paid less than fifty dollars for it, and it would have cost about $10 plus a trip to the post office to return it, so I just use it as a back-up work dress. I was hoping it would play more of a central role in my wardrobe, but instead it will be the old dress that isn't terrible enough to give away but not spectacular enough to ever really WANT to wear. It's a shame. It had such potential. It makes me nervous about buying other dresses from the company, although the designs seem pretty cute.

Cute Dress
This dress is VERY cute. Be aware that there are a couple of pleats that are designed to be off center (if you look at the photo closely you can see them). I prefer things to be symmetrical and was confused when I first tried it on and thought it was a flaw until I double checked the photo. The material is nice and not chintzy. I am quite tall (5'10") and this dress is longer than I expected (mid calf) it to be which is nice because if I decide to hem it then I'm the one that gets to determine the length. I ordered the small because I know that I am close to those measurements and didn't want to risk the dress not fitting if I ordered the extra small (XS measurements are not posted). However the sizing seems to be right on target.

Great looking when you put it on
When I fist pulled the dress out it felt very cheap and costume-ish. However, when I put it on it fit so stinking well. The top part is light an airy, made out of a stretchy material, and it allows you to breath well. I am 5'4, 45 38 49 and bought size 4xL and typically wear size 16-18. It was a good kind of loose on me.The skirt portion is a bit long. It goes down to my mid-calves. I knew this when I bought the product and that was a selling point for me because I have huge muscular calves that are not that feminine and wanted it to be a bit long. :) So, the length was perfect for me. I paired this with a 2 inch thick stretchy belt, the kind that typically goes over some different kinds of shirts. and it looked great and made the line between the shirt and skirt blend well. I will be wearing this around town during our hot summers and now that I think about it I really like the thinness of the material because it will keep me cool.

Made for shorter women
This dress looks fantastic and appears well made, however, while the waist and bust size were perfect on her, it was about six inches too short and the waist was in the wrong place entirely, making it look very awkward on her. If she were to go a size bigger, the waist and bust would be too big and the dress still wouldn't fit right.Unfortunately, this is an issue that we run into a lot. My girlfriend is on the taller side, 5 foot 8 inches. Most dresses don't fit her right, particularly fitted dresses, so the waist or the hips are in the wrong place on her. It would be really great if these dresses could be made in a tall size, to accommodate taller women. We both liked it but it does not fit right. We had to send it back for a refund. Very sad.
