Fresh Almond Cookies
I’ve bought this a few times previously, same brand & same cookie just from a different sales vendor. I’ve always enjoyed Twin Dragon Almond Cookies, however, this time I could barely taste the almond flavor which was a big disappointment. The cookies were also a little dry, though fresh. I kept a package for me & gave one to my friend & she commented as I did, no almond flavor. I won’t be buying this again.

Almond Flavor Isn't Noticeable
Good news and bad news. Good news first. So, the good news is that these are packaged well. They're very fresh, and they weren't broken. Bad news, is that they aren't what I had expected. They don't taste like Chinese buffet almond cookies. They don't really have an almond taste to them at all, unless you count the almond on top. I don't mean that the flavor of the almond is subtle. I'm saying none of our guests realized that the cookies themselves were supposed to have an almond taste to them. Don't get me wrong, our guests really love these cookies. But if you want something that reminds you of the old school almond cookies at just about every Chinese buffet.... then these aren't the same. They taste like regular shortbread cookies. You get about 30 individually-wrapped cookies. For $13, that's a little steep. Especially if they don't have a noticeable almond taste to them. Maybe I'm just used to a different kind of cookie, compared to other Amazon reviewers. So you're welcome to order some, just to see if they're really the same kind. They aren't bad, our guests will keep enjoying them. I just won't order more of them.

Delivered early-no broken cookies! Great item!

No Almond Flavor
The cookies arrived in a plastic shipping envelope with one end of the box crushed and torn but only two individually wrapped cookies were slightly broken. The texture is crunchy as you would expect but I couldn't taste any almond flavoring at all. Though there was still 5 months before the best use date, the cookies tasted old and stale so I had to toss them.
